Why even bother trying to reform?
My main account was given a perma ban under the new automated system. I was very confused about this at first but after going back and forth with Riot support and learning about the new system I began to understand and accept my ban. Which is fine, I was a negative player and was given a punishment, I get that. But the punishment was so harsh for the crime committed. I called a 0 and 10 intentional feeding Viegar "feedgar" and spent the game arguing with that player. Is America ( and or the rest of the world ) so sensitive nowadays that saying "Feedgar" to an intentional feeder deserves to be perma ban from a video game by a computer system of all things.... Personally I find this ban a bit harsh but I accepted it either way because in my chats with Riot support I also found out that they used to do the level 20 challenge to give players a chance to show growth as a member of the LoL community. (Note in many years of playing I was never ban by the tribunal only this strict automated system) Anyways I figured I would accept my ban and start a new account now Knowing that there was a new system in place and understanding said system. I thought maybe if i made my new account all the way to level 30 without getting any behavioral punishments Riot Support would hear me out. Sadly i was greatly mistaken. Riot does not care one bit about a player who truly tried and successfully reformed. It is much easier for them to just let an automated system perma ban you and not care about the individual circumstances. Note: I understand that they did away with the level 20 challenge because it was not successful. Below is one of my chats with Riot support showing that my new account has ZERO disciplinary actions at lvl 30.
MOONSUGAR April 07, 2016 18:33 Hey Summoner,
Moonsugar here - we only disclose your side of the logs for both privacy reasons and because the focus of the suspension is your behavior. What you're responsible for on an individual level, in other words. We do have full context when it comes to the behavior or chat of other players.
The account linked to this support ticket doesn't have any disciplinary actions so I'm guessing you're talking about a different account. I can look into it myself and tell you a little bit more if I can.
So after they acknowledged that my new account had ZERO disciplinary actions at level 30 I decided it was time to try and appeal my case because they did at one point believe in giving an account another chance. Note: I do not care that the vast majority of perma ban players were not able to complete the level 20 challenge. They have absolutely nothing to do with me. This is what I was told after trying to appeal my individual case. :
BROKEN BLADE June 21, 2016 18:06 Hello DG,
I'm Broken Blade and I will be assisting you.
Unfortunately we will not be altering or lifting the suspension on this account because it was issued a two week suspension recently, prior to this suspension. Restrictions and suspensions are a form of warning to improve your behavior or you could see harsher punishments in the future, which is what happened in this case. Verbally demeaning, antagonizing, and arguing with other players is unnecessary negativity that you should be aware of at this point.
Yes I understand that my behavior was not tolerable on my old account. That is not what I was trying to argue with Riot Support I was merely showing that my behavior had made a positive change once I realized the strictness of the automated system. I also suggested that I would do another account all the way to level 30 once again with ZERO disciplinary actions. But they do not care about individual cases. We are all just thrown into a computer program for punishments with no hope of an appeal. I have been without my account for at least 7 months now and have had this new account with ZERO disciplinary actions but that is apparently not a valid sign of improvement. And is it just me or is the jump from two weeks to perma ban just a tad bit extreme? And why the lack of Faith Riot?
Before anybody says " you should have learned after the 2 week ban " Yes you are right about that. But 1. I did not know at the time there was a new system. 2. I had never even heard of anybody getting perma ban before I got mine. And that was after 4 years of playing. I did not know they were really a thing lol I thought you would have to do something seriously bad for that. Not saying "Feedgar" :0 3. I definitely did not think it went from 2 weeks to perma ban. That is crazy all on its own. I was uneducated on the matter at the time because I truly was never worried about being ban over something like "Feedgar". But I learned the system and proved my ability to reform but it does not matter one bit to Riot. But all that being said You guys are still correct. I definitely could have learned after the 2 week ban. Thanks for your time.
