So many people say different things ,,, its getting me confused of what a troll means ,,,

For example: Draven : /all Report this troll amumu x9 Amumu : :*(

like i did nothing ,,,
Even if i try new build,,,people say im a troll ,,, like having item 3020 on Alistar (still full support build,,,just the boots)...

Or going duo top on blind pick games :l

Or even playing the game over all [sg-soraka]

A troll is someone that diligently tries to get a reaction out of others through various means, this could range from banning someone's main champion after being told not to, deliberately building items that are worthless to the champion, deliberately losing a lane or causing others to lose their lane among other things and while a troll can range from doing quite innocent to more malicious things, in general what they all have in common is that they try to make the game experience just a little bit worse for others all for the sake of their own amusement.

Trolling has actually been so watered down and diluted that it can basically mean "anyone who doesnt play what i want" You can be accused of trolling if: -you dont play who X player wants (They want leona, you choose nami) you dont play at the Skill level X players want (they want diamond, they get Low bronze)

  • you dont build how they dictate you build. (aka "Build proper")
  • you dont go where they want, when they want -you dont stay and die with Player X when they tower dive and you dont follow. (I have been called a troll for backing out of a teamfight at last hit)

Trolling is basically now you just NOT playing to someone elses expecations or demands, this is why I cant stand the "cult of meta" because anything outside thier cult is deemed "Trolling"

Someone who does stuff that ruin the game for his teammates, like going duo top.

I intentionally bans someone's champion at BP I intentionally blocks our Sion's ult charge using Anivia's wall

Trolling makes LOL so much fun for me. As long as you apologize after trolling there will be no consequences.

Trolling is doing anything that disrupts the flow or course of the game. From perhaps a win, into an almost assured loss. Stupid dives, wasted summoners, solo and die at drake or baron. Wasting ultimate on stupid things. Taking buffs, or camps from your jungler. Inting into turrets or enemy champions. Not grouping with your team EVER (farm wolves at 35 minutes) instead of being at Baron...just because it hurts your teams chances of success and this is intended. Blitz hooking enemies into disadvantageous positions for your ADC (Like hooking a darius right beside your Ashe). Deliberately not saving your ADC, for example NOT using Thresh Lantern on purpose.

You can look at a troll in two ways, the player behavior type which does stuff to make you or your other teammates tilt and flame (somebody used a good example with Tahm earlier). Then there is the itemization troll, which builds something so off meta that it does not work with his/her champ, or that person’s playstyle. One example is a crit soraka build, sure it is funny to see somebody die from a crit banana but the items and runes that you get have no synergy with soraka’s kit in any way.

Off meta builds are totally fine with everybody as long as the item or build provides things to your champ that really benefit it. Once I saw somebody complain about off meta builds, and the build that person used was Janna with yommus. That person wanted the MS boost, but the yommus has ZERO synergy with Janna’s kit at all, if that person wanted MS to join or exit a fight or to chase then he/she should have built item 2065 . It gives ap, and MS, both are things that Janna benefits from greatly. So in this case getting Yommus on Janna would make you a troll.

Btw I have nothing against off meta builds, what I don’t like are off meta builds that don’t work with a champ. Low elo is the worst because 1. Not many people know how to effectively itemize in game, and 2. They see high elo people do something super off meta and try them, but because they and their team don’t know the weaknesses and strengths of the “troll” build it fails super hard when the low elo person tries it.

In my eyes a troll is somebody who prioratizes their preference at the expense of the team's effectivenes (most often by ignoring strategies that have been established to be the most effective and are general knowledge at the given elo) in an egregious manner with no consent from the team, even when playing with strangers.
