Tell them to mute and move on. Don't tell them to report the player, don't respond to the flames directly, just keep playing.

Try and defuse the flaming a bit by throwing around other potential scenarios that may be to blame. Blaming an enemy champion who's OP or directly counters or is building specifically to counter a champion is a good start. Emphasizing growth into the late game, despite trouble early, is also good.

Try to say: "hulloh ruski!"

suggest both parties to mute each other and focus on gameplay.

own up to your own mistakes, hoping they can learn from your example.

I like to say "Just mute people who are negative" or "Insulting your teammates does not make them play better".

Quite trying to be some 'kawaii desu ne' mediator and just tell the one getting flamed to mute the flamer. If they don't then leave it, it's their issue.

Just try to justify their actions if you saw what happened that caused the flaming. "He obviously thought you were going in, just drop it and play" something like that. Then just stop talking, don't involve yourself any more than that.

It helps the person getting flamed to know that not everyone is on the flamers side. But you don't want to continue an arguement mid game. Just say one thing to let em know you don't agree with flamer, then stay out of it and report the flamer after game. Maybe post game chat just say it's ok x, we all have bad games, if you are concerned with their feelings.

If you ever watch Sky Williams on YouTube, he covers this in a couple of his videos. I'm also a support main, and tend to be a shot caller. Flaming makes the games less fun, and definitely makes them harder to win, because your team won't work together.

In my experience, telling the flamer to back off or chill out, while my first instinct, usually has bad results. It makes that person angrier, and will take their attention off the person they are flaming and onto the person who said it. Of course, sometimes, this is exactly what I want. If I know they are starting to really get to another teammate, I will take that flaming, to give them some relief. What can I say, supports tank that crap too sometimes.

One of the easiest things to do, that can often start salvaging the damage done by the flamer, is to compliment the person who is being flamed. Even little encouragements will add up, and help them get back the confidence that the jerk was wrecking. Which can help games from being lost due to tilt.

Most logical would be to tell your team that it's only going to make it harder for everyone to focus on the game and win if they don't stop flaming

If problem continues, tell person getting flamed at to mute/ignore. You can just report players who you think are toxic after the game, no need to announce it to everyone
