Toxicity

Hey Boards,

I'm working on a little project which aims to better understand why players behave in a toxic way in game, and how to overcome it to have a more enjoyable experience playing the game and possibly raise your winrate. The Idea came from a very well done video on another very competitive Esports game, which inspired me to investigate and do a little experiment to see if you can actually influence other players behavior and/or the outcome of a game with communication. I've already started, and need some volunteers to take a very short survey that will provide some info as a baseline for me to work with. I've also posted on the subreddit, trying to maximize responses. Thanks in advance.

Watching the statistics is pretty revealing.. "Have you ever intentionally died to an enemy" -> results were practically 50/50... What a community "Do you feel reporting someone actually works?" -> "No" gets majority BY FAR. "Have you ever left a game out of frustration?" -> Way more people who did it at least once than people who never did it (AKA emotionally adjusted people)

Honestly that survey was a great way to understand the deterioration of this community.

For clarity purpose, is the scale on question 1 meant to be on a scale of 1 to 10 or 1 to 100? Because it says 1-10 but the slider goes to 100.

What's the point of the question about voting to surrender before or near 20 minutes?

I can tell with 90% certainty by 20 minutes whether my team is going to win or lose based on who is fed and if we've got the late game comp or not. I often initiate surrender votes, but that's not to be toxic, it's because I'd rather get on to the next game. Why eat a 40 minute loss when you can take the loss in 20 minutes? All for the very slight chance of a turnaround?
