Are people not allowed to have friends anymore?

I recently played with a friend who is Level 23 on my main account since I don't want another account so I shouldn't have to stomp on newer players. Our Bard (Support) said that the reason we lost was because Riot matched me and my friend with a SILVER player. I am unranked, and I plan on staying that way. Ranking in NORMALS shouldn't matter. People play for fun, not to be the best among few. He was toxic the entire game and AFK'd for two minutes before finally coming back. He said this before leaving the post-game screen. "idiot gl with your bad friend hope I go against you someday" I apparently am not allowed to have friends because he was "too good" to be with my friend. Why is it my fault that the game queued me with you? I am not at fault, and neither is my friend. We want to play for fun. Not to be the best. I'd say take that attitude into Ranked and not force it into Normals players. Why play normals if all you are going to do is complain about player ranking and level?
