Just pick the role you want, don't care what roles your teammates pick

Riot's system doesn't care trolling in picking champions, if your performance is better than your teammates. In one game, I only wanted to practice champion. I called AD first and locked in, one of my teammates still picked AD. However, because my performance was worse than that teammate, Riot's system punished my account. When I state this question to player support, they don't care this question also. It makes me know that don't care what roles your teammates pick, just pick the role you want. Just remember to control the number of death, your account will be ok.

I'm guessing you're referring to your Draven game, and I'm going to try to be as clear as I can with this comment:

You weren't punished for doing "worse" than the Caitlyn in that game. You were punished for intentionally feeding. Neither her champion selection nor her performance had anything to do with your punishment.

I have to state that I didn't feed again. I only wanted to farm in bot lane, even if 1vs2.

Underleveled by 2, with only 9000 damage to champs, and only 2 wards placed? Not that the wards mattered much for most of your deaths - 10 of them were to your lane opponents, and it wasn't until well more than halfway through the game that anyone else started to pick you off.

I don't know who you think you're fooling, but it's pretty obvious that you weren't even trying to stay alive.

0/17/0? That's as blatant as it gets wrt to intentional feeding.

If you are challenger, you can play every champion very well, OK, everything you said is right.

And she got assists before she hit 17 deaths... And she's Bronze. I expect Plat players to know how to stay safe.

Additionally, you only did 9,073 damage to champions. For reference, on Support I average around 15,000 damage to champions. Everyone in your game destroyed you on damage to champions. You died almost like clockwork in the early game, which doesn't speak of someone trying to play the game safe and learn a champion.

Yeah, I call total BS on the whole "I wasn't intentionally feeding" bit.

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

Yes, she is Bronze. Do you think that Rengar is Gold or Plat? Do you think all Plat players can play every champion very well? I only pick my main champions in my rank games, so I can get Plat. I don't pick Draven in my rank games, ok? In that Draven game, the enemy had one Diamond and two Plat players, but I was the only one of Plat player, others are gold. If I picked my main champions, I may carry my teammates. However, my Draven is new and their assassin was fed. I am not different with other Bronze or Silver players when I play Draven. Stay safe? I was 1vs2 in bot lane, how to stay safe? Stay at base to stay safe? Do you think Draven is easy for a noob? Draven is similar with other marksmen? He doesn't need to catch axe to do damage? If Draven is easy to do damage, I think Draven is really easy for every noobs.

Ok... going to try and translate. You picked ADC first, someone else took the role later in champ select, then you fed? At which point in time your team reported you for intentionally feeding... and assuming you were punished for it? Is that correct?

Edit: http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=MidNightDevilSai . . . holy smokes.

You missed the point of the OP's statement.

He's not advocating that you intentionally feed the other team. He's saying that just because someone else wanted to be the DPS does not mean that you are no longer allowed to choose a character that would do damage yourself.

There is too stringent a mindset that because someone else has chosen a specific character or play style that everyone else must play a different role. Two people in a lane or two healers on a team is not an automatic loss. A Blitz character upset that someone chose Soraka because the Blitz player called support first is just dumb. Of course, there are going to be exceptions. For example, five healing characters might not be able to amass the needed amount of DPS or health to stand up to a group of DPS and tank characters. But then again, they just might if well played.

I just don't see Riot punishing people who choose to play differently. If being different was a crime, we'd all live in the same colored houses wearing the exact same clothes. A very disturbing "A Wrinkle in Time" image, wouldn't you say?

TeemoJenkins1 votes

I appreciate what you're saying, and you're correct - people should respect champ select. However, the OP fed to the tune of a 0/21/0 score... was that the right thing to do? I think not.

Then Riot will have to determine whether the OP was doing so intentionally and punish them for it. Riot is the only one that can do that.

But their system can't be fair for every summoners. It is not smart enough. They only identify summoners' behavior through their score. They can't identify whether someone trolling in picking role.

DrCyanide1 votes

They've mentioned some of the metrics they use to detect intentional feeders, it isn't KDA alone. They compare you to your other games, check builds, check how much you fought not to die, etc.

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

No doubt, if I pick my main champions, my performance will be good. But they cannot compare my new champions to my main champions. What is wrong with my build in that Draven game? item 3031 item 3508 item 3006 item 2015 item 3086 can you tell me which item is wrong for Draven? I was 1vs2 and gank from jungle, tell me how to fight not to die?

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

Have you check my cs? I already tried my best to stay safe to farm.

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

Tell me which game my score was 0/21/0?

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

I didn't feed. If you 1vs2 and gank from jungle, You can farm safely? My team reported me just because my performance was worse than my teammates. I told my teammates that I was practicing Draven, they still reported me. That was my bad? Or you mean that I have to control the number of death, even I stay at base? I shouldn't try to farm, just wait for them finishing?

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

fed? I only practiced champions, you think that I fed? If you think Draven is easy to play for noobs, ok, that was my bad.

My mistake... the Draven game was 0/17/0 ... it was an earlier Yasuo game that you went 5/21/0 .... I've never heard a platinum claim a -10 KDA was from just practicing... typically when practicing you'd eventually accidentally get a kill or an assist.

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

Platinum is God? All platinum players must be good at all champions? Have you check all my Draven games? Have you check enemy's rank? One diamond two platinum players, I am just a platinum player bro. Caitlyn didn't stay in bot lane, I was 1v2, and mid jungle ganked bot lane, farm or AFK, choose one bro.

... That game proves his point, she accidentally got kills and assists.

Besides, she's Bronze and you're Plat. I doubt you'd bet there if you didn't know how to stay safe.

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

I was alone in bot lane, could you tell me how to stay safe? Stay under turret to stay safe? But their jungle still ganked bot lane. Farm in jungle to stay safe? But my damage dealt to champion will be lower than 9,037. Stay at base to stay safe? They report me for AFK. Could you tell me what I can do?

DrCyanide1 votes

Hug tower, poke, use your stand aside when they try and dive you.

The specifics for Draven may be slightly different, but the idea is the same for all ADCs. You've got a decent amount of Jinx and Caitlyn games, do you instantly die when your support recalls, or do you manage to stay safe?

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

Are you kidding me? Draven is slightly different with other ADCs? If Draven can't catch his axes, how does Draven deal damage? If I can care stand and catch axes at the same time, is my Draven new? Support recalls? I didn't have support, ok? I stayed under turret to wait for minions but they still killed me. Could you tell me what I could do? And their jungle ganked bot also, you could kill someone when you 1vs3? If you are Challenger, ok, everything you said is right but I am only a Plat player. I am not Diamond, Master or Challenger. And the enemy in that game was not noobs, ok? They are also Plat players. They know how to dive and stay safe. Why everything you said is easy? The enemy was not noobs, ok?

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

Can't answer these questions?

DrCyanide2 votes

More like shouldn't need to answer these questions...

Draven doesn't magically do less damage than other ADC'S if he doesn't catch his axes, he does less damage than other Dravens. Thus "I couldn't catch axes, so I couldn't do damage" doesn't fly in my book. The first time I played Draven on Summoner's Rift I started out feeding but ended up doing the most damage to champions out of anyone in the game. For crying out loud, Amumu dealt more damage!

"Amumu camped me", Amumu got assists on you exactly 3 times, the first one at 12:27, which was your fifth death of the game.

At any given moment there was never more than two players involved in killing you. Not once we're there two assists for your death. You got into a 1v1 with Tristana when you had two Doran's Blades and she had a B.F. Sword, Pickaxe, Doran's Blade, and Berzerker's Greaves.

At what point do you expect me to believe you were honestly playing safe? I've got everything sort of a replay that says you weren't.

I don't see a 0/21/0 but I do see an 0/17/0. I'm not gonna definitively say you were intentional feeding because I don't have enough information, but it is extremely suspicious at best. I would expect anyone to have at least 1 assist in a 40 minute game almost no matter what. You also had less than half the damage done.

MidNightDevilSai1 votes

I was 1v2 in bot lane, and they had two fed assassin roles, farm or AFK? Draven is same with other marksmanship to deal damage? He needs to pick his weapon to deal damage, this skill is easy for a new Draven?

Disneylord2 votes

You should be perma banned for intentional feeding anyway i cant even understand how you try to turn it around in the forums

MidNightDevilSai2 votes

You mean you can play every champion very well? You never lost your lane when you were noob?
