I've noticed a lot of things. since i have started playing this game. one is the major issue that sometimes someone leaves or gets distracted with real world stuff and the first instinct of everyone is to scream out report report report report..even i have had it happen to me were i look away or i go to even take a leak and i come back even after saying brb. to ping spamming and yelling about reporting me. i mean...you have no idea why someone disconnects. family members gets hurt the cable company fucks with the connection. some drunk idiot runs into a pole. wife/husband kids. power goes out. i could go on and on and on and on....so why report someone for something happening in there real life? your basically saying as soon as you log into this game or queue up or anything like that you are not allowed to have a life outside of that little box your sitting in front of. and you have to sit there no matter what happens...if your power goes out well enjoy your ban. and i don't get the logic behind this..i really don't...it makes me want to report the ones screaming for the report rather then the person who left for a second or two or left during the match for some reason... for the sheer example i don't know whats going on with them. but i know what your doing.

can someone please enlighten me on this logic? and does Riot support this behavior and logic?

I don't think you get banned for this; rather, you are placed in low priority queue. I'm sure the punishment is more severe for repeat or consistent offenders, but I'm not sure if AFK is bannable. Possibly, but I'm not sure.
