Second Chances DO happen!

I recently was able to make the case to have my main account UN-perma banned! Some take aways from my experience;

  1. Riot Support was nothing but helpful and respectful (once I contacted a real person). Even in the face of pointing out my toxicity, they never chided or put me down even indirectly. They were even willing to admit that the conditions of my ban were "Very immediate" and warranted another look. They pulled no punches showing me all the conditions of my initial ban though, careful to ask me, "Is this how you'd want to be treated? Really think about that." Something you don't really consider in the heat of the moment.

  2. At first, I was combing my chat logs for ANYTHING I could use to make myself look better and like the victim. REALLY reading those chat logs in full paints a pretty clear picture of just how rotten I probably made people feel over a VIDEO GAME... While I was lashing back for being talked down to, I still chose to react back, and just as bad, if not worse so. This has pretty well solidified why it's not ok to do it back. You BE the bigger person.

  3. The system is not perfect, and Riot knows it, and is willing to hear you out, especially if you're willing to really see their side of it. The support department has to deal with this vitriol we've spewed forth daily. Imagine that. Even in the real world, there are consequences for doing bad things to others, and sometimes a verdict is rushed or heavy handed, or something else can be done to rectify the wrongs committed.

So you had a permanent ban. What was your punishment history?

That's the problem with people nowadays. They're so caught up with trying to prove their innocense that they refuse to see their guilt.

That's kind of their job and their not allowed to be rude to players...

I'm thick skinned, so I don't really mind or care about being treated like shit verbally. And I know if other people feel like I'm treating them like shit, they can ignore/mute me anyways.

A video game where others don't even know you and your toxicity is from text.

No ones the smaller person by flaming.

Lol, except if you don't agree with their side, then they won't remove your punishment.

It's their fucking job.

I didn't know Gordan Ramsay got consequences for yelling at his chefs when they fuck up. Yeah, this is not universal

How many times can you kiss Riot's ass in one post?

This makes me incredibly depressed. I've been on max honor level for 3 years now on this account (my only account) and have tried countless times to get my main unbanned to no avail. I've accepted it for the past few years and moved on, but every so often I get reminded on the boards about how I'm not good enough to get unbanned :-).

If there is one thing that watching lots of r/entitledparents, r/choosingbeggars and r/maliciouscompliance videos have taught me; it is to NEVER mess with retail, any other customer support or in general any person in a job that requires them to interact with customers face to face or over a call. That is the quickest way to piss off a person/group of people, and you are most likely gonna have something nasty coming your way, or nothing coming your way.

(You can ignore this OP because you obviously learned this bit of knowledge) DO NOT INSULT OR HARASS ANY RIOT CUSTOMER SUPPORT EMPLOYEES OR ANY RIOTERS IN GENERAL. You absolutely do not want to insult the people that are the make or break point of you getting your account back or that punishment removed. OP did the right thing by being kind, understanding, listening to the employee and acknowledging the faults he performed that got the ban.

Tip: insulting or harassing people is a very sure way to make them NOT do what you want/expect them to do. It’s common sense, which I quote Mini Ladd when he says that it isn’t that common nowadays.

I wish that I could get my original account un-perma'd.

It got perma banned back in like Season 3 or 4 (Sir Hammerlock) and I've tried, while being completely respectful and understanding, the few Rioters I talked to were especially kind and sympathetic despite not being able to lift it.

I would genuinely play the game a lot more if I could retrieve my original account. :(

So did it get unbanned?

Congratulations! I wish I could get my main back, though I'm in EUW so it won't be possible sadly. I've accepted that I fully deserved the ban I received, and am working hard on reforming and staying positive and tiltproof!

Imagine if Riot paid this guy to make this post...

Is it really imagining? OR REAL...

Do you think Id have a chance of getting my account back?

My chat logs are basically flaming champ design for 2 games and the third being light flaming a Diana who ran it down to 0/9

Also, when requesting it says they DO NOT reverse bans on accounts with flame on the chat logs, how the hell did you get your account back?

AgeOfShadow923/3/2019, 3:31:31 AM1 votes

I'm sorry so ... how or why did they unpermaban you? how long were you banned before they lifted this?

EL HAMSTERO3/1/2019, 9:49:21 PM1 votes

it can be done friends. keep submitting tickets until you get past their reply bots. if you reach a real person and talk rationally to them you could get your ban lifted!
