Grounds for permentant ban????? really!

OK, everyone gets bad games but a permenant ban for this is kinda silly and unwarranted, just wanted the to hear from the rest of the community! That being said it does not justify me to rage either. thx.

This likely would have only been a chat restriction, but the punishment was escalated since you have obtained so many punishments in a short period of time without showing any signs of improving your behavior.

The escalation schedule is as follows: 10-game chat restriction 25-game chat restriction 14-day ban Perma ban

In your case it really wasn't about the outright severity of these chat logs, but persistently creating a poor experience for others with your behavior.

I hope this helps explain why this chat lead to a perma ban.

Honestly, the escalation system is dumb. most of the comments on this chatlog are directed at the game and match making system. Yes there are comments directed at individuals, but even from this log its clearly evident that the team was wholly toxic. If the game is going to implement escalating punishments it needs to take into account the game in whole and be able to analysis the root cause of that games toxicity and punish according to that. If this individual was being moderately toxic and his team escalated that, the other members of the team need to be dealt with accordingly. issuing permanent bans for very mild toxic actions does not solve the problem. it only allows those instigators to continue escalating scenarios.

Learn to respect other people mate, even if they are doing everything in their power to frustrate you. Riot gave you plenty of chances before this punishment came around.

Except, let's be honest, they don't. I've gotten a chat restriction on an account I hadn't been on in a month, when I argued it, I was given standard Rolodex reply: Well, we gave it, you earned it.

The amount of time you were not on that account really doesn't mean anything. Chat restrictions will wait for you no matter how long you're away from your account.

Now, if you are trying to say you did not earn the restriction before you took a break from that account I would ask for chat logs, because that's really the only form of evidence you can have.

I did. And they told me that "I had been given the chat restriction for poor behavior." I messaged them back, telling them I hadn't even been on, and I got the EXACT SAME MESSAGE. So I brought it to the forums, where it was quickly down voted and ignored. I wonder why i only play customs now

I think you missed what I said...

The behavior was BEFORE you stopped using the account. You didn't get punished while inactive, you were punished before you went inactive, and didn't notice.

And you missed what I said. No it wasn't. My account was clear when I stopped, the last four or so games I played having been customs, full groups with my friends, followed by a bot game to dick around with.

I was clear when I left, and I checked my match history, and sure enough, no extra matches were on there.

You don't get immediately punished. Eventually your logs get sent through the system and analyzed for accuracy, once they determine that you actually are doing toxic things then they issue the punishment.

You can't be punished while you're inactive. That's simply not how it works.

If I were in your shoes I would not have left it at a second reply from Riot. I would keep messaging them (while waiting for a reply message, so that I don't spam) until my problem was resolved. To simply give up like you did is a completely foreign idea I can't wrap my head around.

If something messes up like that don't just resign yourself to your fate. Go make another support ticket, or attempt to reopen the old one, and get that thing taken off your record.

Riots not worth it anymore. It's a hassle to even play normals, just due to the general state of at least American culture leading to an overabundance of kids, with an utter lack of sense/dignity/respect, what have you. Honestly, ask yourself when the last time you enjoyed a chill normals game, with a group of friendly people. If I want to deal with stupid, anonymous people, I'll go to YT comments, or 4chan or something. So, fuck it. I ARAMed them off, muting everyone in the map as soon as I got in, and haven't played another matched game sense, and likely never will.

The fact that they gave the rolodex ONCE, let alone twice on the same ticket, is a blatant show of disregard for the fans, to say nothing of the direct call out in the forums going ignored. Riot makes a fun game, but they've lost my support, and that's not even going into the parent companies disgusting ass politics. i may try again when and if Riot releases their robotic stranglehold, and re-issues the tribunal, but I've simply decided it's not worth it.

Twice is barely even trying. If you gave it a real try a real person would have ended up replying to you.

But to each their own. Just know that stupid is not a new trait we've developed, it's been around as long as we have. What you view as new behavior is as old as humanity.

Oh, no, it's not a new behavior, it's just me drastically simplifying my thoughts on the cause of the recent explosion of it.

Short version: Three reasons:

A) Idocracy was right, and stupid people who have no business (and never intend on) being parents are out breeding good parents.

B) Low Minimum wage + Increased divorce rate + Children + increased cost of living = Long hours (and/or two jobs) worked for a single parent (or both parents), leaving little to no time to properly raise their child(ren), leaving them to grow into hellion crotch goblins. (Not ALL the cases, mind, I was raised by a single parent.)

C) GIFT. Anonymity + Captive Audience turns 90% of people into hate spewing morons.

I for one would have reported you in an instant, it seems that you have a bad case of superiority complex. Extremely rude and your comments probably helped your teammates do even worse. Using excuses like "the whole team was toxic" or "but so and so started it" doesnt matter even if you are the one retaliating, toxicity is toxicity and everyone being toxic should be punished. Great job Riot you caught another toxic player and saved us from them.
