Two week ban. Some context; my friends who i met some games prior are on the other team, an Olaf. The enemy Jihn and i had some friendly banter in all chat that game. The matchup is Caitlyn (me) + support Teemo vs Jihn + Rakan. The Teemo was rather disgruntled by the fact that he had to support, so he decided to intentionally feed. In fact, i got lucky that i got first blood but that didn't stop Teemo from farming wave, dying some more intentionally and making bot lane hell until i decided to rotate out for the sake of trying to win the game and making the most of it. But i'm glad that communicating is now seen as "creating and prolonging a negative game environment"

Edit: To clarify one thing, this is NOT the email i got showing the chat log. I logged in and received a two week ban notification, as such i opened a Riot support ticket and asked them what part of the the chat log they feel was deserving of a two week ban and this is what the GM replied. As i said, this is a conversation with a Riot Support Specialist in regards to why i was banned and where they feel i was toxic. The above is a screenshot of the support ticket and Riot's reasoning for keeping the ban.

As multiple others told you, to properly evaluate the suspension you will need to provide the full chat logs. It is entirely possible that the support agent gave you a different part for whatever reason - but even if they did a poor job of explaining the suspension it is not an excuse to remove it.

I haven't received an answer either, coincidence? I think not. They see their system isn't perfect and they simply dont want to own up to it.

You had multiple players explain to you why you were punished and why it was not invalid. Your inability to understand or accept that does not mean you have not gotten an answer.

If you really have not gotten an answer from support in 7 days (since you posted your thread), submit a new ticket - maybe the ticket system dropped yours or something. Keep in mind that if you did get told by support that your ban was not going to be removed, you will not get a different answer now.

Just becuase players have explained it to me, doesn't mean its a valid argument. You are on that fascist parade. Just because multiple people say something, it doesn't mean its a valid point. All I see is people who are little snowflakes that play the victim, blame the actual victim.

Argumentum du Populum aren't valid ones.

I still don't see how my temporary ban is justified as I was NOT offensive while the trolls just ruined the game of four people and was telling us to get cancer, ofcourse someone has to stand up and tell him its not good behaviour, im not going to stand behind a system that will most likely let him get away with it.

Persons who perpetrate crimes in response to crimes committed against them cease being victims and become perpetrators themselves. Toxicity in retaliation is still toxicity.

Alright, so if someone walks into my house with a gun and threathens to kill me and my 4 family members AND I managed to wound him and knock him out or even kill him, I am in fault?

See this is why your system doesn't work, its flawed throughout. You make a victim from the one who just tried killing me and my 4 family members, while you punish me and put me in jail for defending and doing something against the threat.

This is basic morality and it seems like most people have lost it nowadays, trading it in for tolerating everything but the ones who stand up.

You are not threatened with death or bodily harm in League. “Self defense” only works when there is an actual threat to defend yourself from. You are comparing apples and oranges.

You are at fault as much as is the person who “started” the toxicity. Regardless, this is not on topic for this thread - I encourage you to continue discussing this in your own thread. Further off topic replies will be removed from this thread.

Basically it. Someone questions their ban and shows log. Pick a line of text and throw out some buzzwords and claim it's "sarcastic" or creates a "negative enviroment". Bam, punishment justified, riot fanboys will silence the guy who speaks up with a good old flame fest and the report system continues to be shit.

Hit the nail on the head. It's a pity though, that our attempts of showing the community just how blinded they are turn out to be futile, with massive downvoting due to classic psychological herding. This community is going down the drain, following not too far behind, it's game.

If you aren't aware, there are 4 tiers of punishment:

  1. 10 game chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14-day ban
  4. permaban

Anything that can yield a chat restriction will eventually get you permabanned if you did it often enough.
