Increase the punishment to troll players on ranked, last match 2 players just stand there only moving from time to time to not get afk we were 3 vs 5 and was a -28 league point lose, on an average I earn from 14 to 20 per win so that lose was near as a win and a half or 2 wins.... Come on Riot punish hard troll players on this cases and make regular players don't lose League Pont thanks to trolls

I'm not trying to be mean, but at the MMR that is closest to your actual skill level, you should have about a 50/50 win/lose rate, as well as win/lose the same amount of LP per win/loss (give or take a few percent/LP, but on average).

This means that you are currently much higher than the system thinks you should be - you're being matched with players you should easily beat. The system is giving you very little LP on wins, and a very high loss on losses so as to get you to the correct MMR. Once you get there, you'll get back to 20-25 per win/loss.

Now, about trolls. Statistically speaking, you win more games because of trolls than you lose. This is because there are 4 opportunities for trolls on your team (not counting you), but 5 on the enemy team. Thus, you win about 10% more games than you lose because of trolls. Thus, while you are at a MMR matched to your skill level, trolls actually cause you to slowly gain LP.

Lastly, trolls are heavily punished - when confirmed trolling, the first offense is a 14 day ban. One game. 14 day ban. Second offense? Usually a permanent ban, sometimes a shorter manual ban (such as 2 weeks, one month, three months, etc).

It's more a test of logic than stats. Unless you consider yourself an unknown (IE: You don't know ahead of time if you're going to troll or not), there is an 11% greater chance that a troll will appear on the enemy team.

Of course, when you're often the troll, or when your behavior tends to trigger trolls, the statistics go out the window, as in the case of people who eventually end up permabanned. ;-)

@Chermorg: However, it's incorrect to assume that this causes you to gain LP in the long term, unless you're currently rated below your skill level. If you're accurately rated, or overrated, then giving you a win means the next matchup will be statistically more difficult for you to win, which eventually washes out the 'free' wins you get from trolls on the enemy team.
