they were wanting me to play a support champ with a knock up so that the yasuo would have a better chance at landing his ult and the only support champ i own is soraka and i keept telling them i dont have a support with a knockup and the only champ i own that does is xin xhou the last time i tried xin in support role (due to misunderstanding in champ select) did extremely bad i keep telling them that i dont own a support knock-up champ and reported for trolling since they were saying im "not being a team player" by not owning a knockup champ and ruining their team comp by not owning a champ with a team wide knockup

Whoah, that's a long sentence! But you're right, and something needs to be done about this kind of behavior. I hope Riot will let us report ~~Yasuo mains who can't land their own tornadoes~~ toxic people in champion select without having to take a screenshot and send in a report ticket.

Looks like the only free champion with a knockup is Shyvana this week too. Your team was full of idiots. I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Xin Zhao got a knock-up (albeit single-target, afaik).

Not sure how well a Xin Zhao support would be though. With Smite, then maybe...

Your teammates can make suggestions on who to play, but they can't force you to play who they want. It's not reportable or punishable, as long as you're playing the role you got.

I almost miss the old queue system that was just one premade team after another. Because there were a number of times in which I was the odd man out in a premade and I was the one who ended up carrying the 4-man.

BUT I don't miss it all that much because no matter how well you do, you are likely to be 4x reported by a group of 4 who treat you like nothing more than an unwanted obligation needed to complete their team.

You know that cliche of being last picked for teams? That's basically what it is to be the solo player on a 4-man premade team.

Everyone should own Alistar because of the free promotion they have, I don't blame you for not knowing that that exists though. Riot should make it clearer they have those promotions, at least put a button in the store or something.

camile's E and ult works with yasuo's ult.

Same with trist and of course xin.

He can land his own tornados. just use Ashe and slow / stun them. certainly not fancy wombo, but works.

If you don't have a solution , be creative about it.

And don't worry about getting falsely reported, they don't mean anything to you unless you did something wrong.

If you ever get a Yas that asks you to go someone with a knockup just dodge. A good yas knows how to land his 3rd Q. A bad yas that just wants fotm freelo needs help landing his own abilities.

Though, the Yasuos that don't need it? If you give it to them anyway? So amazing.

are you writing this as a complaint? or as an anecdote?

I encounter people who want me to do specific picks all the time and I give as much as i get in this regard.

If someone requests a champion i give it a good thought and then maybe i will maybe i wont. I assume the same is the same for the guys who went olaf and zac when i ased for a front line, and also for the guys who stuck with their kahzix.

ofc if the team is toxic i advise dodging.

Don't worry about it. You didn't do anything against the rules. I'd just report them for being toxic. You can get Alistar for free if you'd like.

I had a similar scenario happen not too long ago. I went Malphite support since I'm pretty bad with Alistar. Actually turned out pretty well surprisingly.

You could have gone with Veigar or Annie for the team-wide stun...but in general, Soraka might have been the safer support, I don't know since I can't see what the opponent's team composition was...either way, your teammates should have picked a knock up jungle or solo lane champion for their Yasuo friend. They are the ones being selfish brats and should be ashamed for flaming you for you simply being a new player.

Whenever facing a premade that gets at all controlling or abusive in champ select, remember you can dodge the match. League gets more pleasant once you learn this. 5 minutes waiting is far better than 40 minutes of being abused and raged at whilst in an unwinnable game.
