So can we have a report system in champ select yet?

It's a bit annoying to go into a draft, someone picks a yasuo intent, so nobody on our team bans him! we're all nice people, and now this person bans aatrox, the enemy bans yasuo, and ooh looky now they pick fiora with ghost and cleanse! wonder how this will turn out! sorry but even if this person was actually gonna try, its too much of a stereotype to not realize this person is gonna run it down mid and ruin 20 min of my life. seriously im fine with waiting 5 min for the next game cus obviously im gonna dodge, but can we get a report system? cus it seems like people will do this so people will dodge and they get another chance to play their beloved yasuo.

You know what they say about assuming? It makes an ass out of u (you) and me.

You cannot justify your dodge based on your negative attitude of "oh that person must be trolling". For all you know they're going to change their spells at the last minute, or actually try.

Maybe instead of dodging you should play the game, and if they actually (not you think they will) troll, then report them.

i easily can, assuming the only thing this person said when i asked about the summoner spells was ":)" i have every right to not ruin 20 min of my life with this. also i'm sure it's not very hard for the report system to just put special case to some people, you see people doing this? and they have bad rep in being actual trolls in game? then woop there's your culprit. Again, i refuse to waste my little gaming time on games with people like this, i'd rather wait 5 min over 20 with some douche

See, the thing you don't understand is you are part of and perpetuating the problem.

Your assumption about someone trolling wastes 5+ minutes of 9 other peoples' time. It also eliminates the possibility of you filing an in-game report against the person. In-game reports go to the IFS which issues punishments usually within 30 minutes to an hour of the offense. However, you don't know if they're a troll until they actually troll. That's why you can't report in pre-game lobby - there's literally nothing reportable gameplay wise (chat is obviously punishable in pre game, post game, and during game).

Until someone actually trolls/ints, they cannot be punished for it, and you asking to be able to report someone for something they haven't yet done is kinda useless - the reports wouldn't even be able to be acted on since they haven't trolled yet.

actually it wastes 5 min for me, few seconds for everyone else, and also again, if you saw this and still joined a game then it's probably cus you havent seen this time and time again, it's nothing new, and not my first time to be "just an assumption", it happens everytime and pretty sure i do the 3 other people on my team a favor.

It wastes 5 mins for everyone, they have to sit through a queue, and a lobby, just to have you leave and have to repeat the process.

I have seen trolls. I have seen more often people dodge non-meta picks, I get placed with the person again, get in game, and the person wasn't actually a troll.

Because as you've realized punishing people for mentioning a terrible player has 32 CS at 25 minutes matters more to Riot than actually punishing feeders. Reporting rude people is analogous to police officers spending all their time chasing down cannabis users. The time would be better spent punishing actual crimes not trying to protect the feelings of adults who can't handle someone calling them terrible at a videogame.

Just because it isn't meta doesn't mean it's a bannable offense. If they intentionally feed and ruin a game, let them. That's an easy case for Riot to ban. If they try but fail, then it's just a fair shot at trying something new. You can't dictate how other players play so long as it's within the set guidelines.

mh mh mh and im guessing nunu with cleanse and clarity was also a meta breaker right? or bot lane tahm with smite? those are surely people trying to help your team

Bot lane smite was very short lived, and forced changes to the Jungle. Two smites at bot meant easy dragon security. A support with smite mean advancing your carry with bottom lane camps.

Nunu is a real good old school support for Ezreal. Ezreal spams hard, usually building damage first and relying on his support and personal utility to make up the gap in his attack speed. Cleanse in itself has a very low pick rate, but Clarity allows Ezreal to keep spamming and win a lane.

I'm not sure if you were attempting to be sarcastic. Just because a strategy isn't currently meta doesn't mean that it's reportable.

bot lane smite on a tham kench especially meant tahm would eat your jungler and smite the camp away. which to this day is still more picked than someone actually picking support with smite and tyring to win. nunu with clarity and cleanse was even famous on youtube, more than just nunu support in general. if a nunu supports, sure, with tp/cleanse you're not gonna have a support strategy is strategy if you can coordinate it, going into solo q wanting to play yasuo and then picking someone famous for trolling has no level of strategy coming off it

If you get a yas banned. Good for you. If a yas gets picked. Just pray they are good. At any rate a report system would be good for champ select because of people getting away with things before the math starts. But there's no point in reporting people over a champ selection. That's just you trying to force people to play the way you want them to play.
