Trying again.

In wake of Tyler1 being banned and such a backlash from the community, I will try once more to get this idea broadcasted.

  • One, All accounts that were perma banned for being toxic, unbanned. Because we all spent money on that account, just because we say rude things doesn't mean our account deserves to be taken away.
  • Two, Every account that has been unban can no longer use chat, now people will say "That means they can't communicate blah blah blah!!!" Well if they were so toxic to be perma banned CLEARLY they won't be putting up timers and cd's and what not in chat, and anything out side of that can be smart pinged.
  • Three, when you mute someone it also mutes their pings from being heard by you or seen, because more often then not, when you stop replying to them they know you muted them and start spamming pings
  • Four, you can no longer be perma banned for being toxic. It's not like we are cheating, or exploiting, or hacking the system, we didn't break the game, people will argue that BS thing of "Toxic people lose 20% more of their games!!" And where is the proof? Last time I check Tyler1 was winning a ton, and uh, clearly he was toxic. (Edit: People clearly think I mean let them run wild, I don't their account stays, chat goes, if they are proven to be toxic, then they can't use chat anymore.)
  • Finally, Riot has to start working on a system that fairly punishes trolls and afks, they have so much time to dump into making skins, why not dump that time into something useful, like creating a new system to accurately find ints and afks.

I beg that people hear me out on this, and just think before posting. Please, but do comment, and try and grab a Red's attention so I can have a talk with them.

You do not own your account, so nothing is being taken away. Just because you spent money you are not exempt from the rules.

Two, Every account that has been unban can no longer use chat, now people will say "That means they can't communicate blah blah blah!!!" Well if they were so toxic to be perma banned CLEARLY they won't be putting up timers and cd's and what not in chat, and anything out side of that can be smart pinged.

No, because when the team they have is not performing to their standards, they will turn to trolling to get back at them.

Three, when you mute someone it also mutes their pings from being heard by you or seen, because more often then not, when you stop replying to them they know you muted them and start spamming pings

So worsen the communication cut you get from someone and punish people who /muteall?

Four, you can no longer be perma banned for being toxic. It's not like we are cheating, or exploiting, or hacking the system, we didn't break the game, people will argue that BS thing of "Toxic people lose 20% more of their games!!" And where is the proof? No, you aren't hacking the game. You are ruining morale. Telling someone to go kill themselves, you do NOT KNOW whether that person has depression and could be on the brink of actually doing it. Also, limiting your statistic to one person is bias. tyler1 may be the poster boy for toxicity, but we cannot go off him alone.

Finally, Riot has to start working on a system that fairly punishes trolls and afks, they have so much time to dump into making skins, why not dump that time into something useful, like creating a new system to accurately find ints and afks.

There are already systems in place. Thing is, trolling is so diverse, easy to mix up with bad playing, and hard as hell to catch, and most players know when they get caught there is no point in squirming, the rate at which we find these bans being reported to the boards are few and far apart. Doesn't represent the actual number, as I'm sure thousands of trolls have been caught. Also, making skins and player behavior are run by two different teams. They both have different areas of expertise, thus are hired to different teams. One team typically has no influence on the other.

This is all flawed.

Yes. Yes it does. Riot has set behavior standards. You failed to follow those standards so they blocked you from accessing their content with that account.

  1. You spent money on Riot's merchandise, not a "Ban-Immunity" account status. Money is totally irrelevant when it comes to punishments.

  2. People were toxic so that they WANT the others to hear him say it just to make them feel bad. If they were perma-chat, they'll use Intentional Feeding as their last resort to attract attention instead.

  3. Pings are technically their last solution in assisting the team, should they ever being muted. But if they were spamming it, you can either bear with it & report later, or just lower the Ping volume in the Sound menu.

  4. So you want every game to have the air filled with nothing but cursed/swearing words accompanied with possible AD Hominems & sexual references yada yada yada.........how bout no?

  5. There were already cases of people who were trolling/afk were punished, just that toxicity has a higher rate than them.

lolno

Stop bothering with this sort of thread. It's pointless, and so are the points inside.

As much as I really hate having to argue against things like this, I'll tell you simply that it's how Riot's decided to set things up. The previous systems didn't achieve the desired result, so now we have this harsh setup in place.

I'd love another chance to prove myself, I really would. I just have to admit that it very likely won't ever happen, though. (In my case, I wouldn't mind a 'permanent' chat ban, or at least a lengthy one. If I can keep myself focused on my game, the particular problem I had would likely clear itself up.)

I personally don't object to people being banned for behavior when it is extreme and consistent.

Not talking "negativity" or "unsportsmanlike conduct" here, but if someone is constantly harassing /attacking other people in their games, or simply vulgar, they probably don't deserve to play.

Harassment is not a single comment relating to gameplay. Talking repeated profanity/name-calling, personal attacks, etc.

That said, players should be expected to use the mute button if there is unwanted talk, etc.

The game should be less about showing up your teammates with "muted" and "reported" comments, and being free to interact, as you choose, and play.

Hahahahahah, no.

You're failing to understand the very nature of LoL's accounts where you're basically renting all the elements, that's not my opinion, it's right there in the ToS.

And people not being banned for being toxic? What the hell are you smoking?

Go fucking sad. I'd rather everyone who gets permabanned gets what that asshole Tyler1 got: an immidiate perma for all identified smufs

I have no idea who Tyler1 is but I 100% agree with this!!!
