I swear to god riot, if you don't even give this guy a warning like ''hey, maybe stop that type 'I Agree' in the little box below :)'' I'm gonna be pissed, no matter how much people say this garbage, my reports NEVER warrant a punishment, how do I know this? I wasn't even fucking aware of the message saying ''a report u did actually did a thingy'' until earlier this year... i've been playing since season 2.

this turned into a bit of a rant, but w/e, downvote away

Mute, report, move on. Move on is just as key as the others. Don't dwell, don't focus on it. You reported them, the system will work, move on.

IFS system was introduced less than 2 years ago.

I've only once, in all my reports, gotten the notification. Mind you, it was very satisfying, because the person immediately came to the boards to complain, but that's a rarity.

System against flaming works almost perfect. One that has issues is system against trolls. Thing is, notification, that you expect to get, is sent out very rarely. It used to be sent quite a lot when first released but due to complaints on forum from people who were annoyed by constant popups, it was made so you get it only once in a blue moon. Those people might got chat restricted, but u might never know. Just move on.

That is not the "fucking issue". Punishments are done to encourage people to reform, not for someone to gloat over it. Your involvement ends completely once you press that report button.

It's an instant 14 day ban at the very least. And this is on an account that up until then is in a "good standing" as in it hasn't had any serious punishments previously. Though I've also made similar reports when I've seen it and it's been a while since I've gotten the "A player you reported has been punished message"

This is not the case. Recently i had a game in which our team got stomped, long story short our supp ended up wishing cancer multiple times to me and my family (in game chat) . Not only that but in the post game chat he even said and i quote : "i hope sth bad happends to you" i reported him and replied to him : "I wish the best to you since your life is arleady pretty sad as i can tell". After all i decided to track his match history to see if he is banned and unfortunatly he has plenty of games since then, so best case scenario he got chat banned (which i highly doubt) . So yeah, its not perma ban and definitely not an instant one.

The best thing you could do is report them and block them and move on. There's no point in letting them continue to get to you. It's just letting them win at their game.
