Reporting Didn't Result in Punishment

I recently had a very bad game where two players maliciously trolled throughout. The rest of my team agreed that they were trolling and said that they would report, and we also explained the problem clearly to the enemy team and they expressed understanding and said that they would report as well. After the game, I never received a notification that a punishment was issued. It really upsets me to see players deliberately ruin the experience of others, especially in ranked where such trolling can prevent players from moving up as they should. Is there anything else that I can do to ensure they receive a penalty?

Most of the trolling/intentional feeding reports are reviewed manually. This takes time (over a week sometimes), as well as the fact that manual punishments do not send notification that a punishment was issued to those who reported.

Thus, do not take "no notification" to mean "no punishment was issued".

Like Chermorg said but also adding something.

Not everyone gets notified. Cases are built up in most situations, to try and avoid 1 false positive (bad game). Say 10 game they are reported, only the reporters from game 8, 9, and 10 might get notified. This is at least true in case chat punishments.

Just to add to what has been said already, typically only the person who's report triggered the ban receives the notice. So if the rest of your team reported as well, you might not have been the last one so you would miss out on the notice.

It does make it harder to see if the Feedback System is working. That's one thing that I really hope they're working on. An increase in visibility would help set some peoples minds at ease.

One report is all that is needed for the system to review a match. Also, only the last person to report (and sometimes not even then) gets the notification, so if 8 people reported them and that was the last straw game, then you would get the notification less than 1/8th of the time.
