Im wrongully chat restricted, remove it at once please.

I've been chat restricted before and rightfully so because I was arguing in the 3 games displayed so i have no dispute about that. My oberservation is that everytime I report someone it seems I always get the chat restriction and it's discouraging me from wanting to report players anymore. I only report people when there is excessive cursing at me or someone else, racism, or when there's a lot of feeding intentionally. Aside from that, I was recently chat restricted and out of the 3 games displayed, 1 was rightfully so, another one was in defense of a troll/ racist who wasnt even punished for his racism ( AGAIN this has happened to me), & thr other game was honeslty no argument or toxicity involved whatsoever. I keep reviewing the chat logs and the last one is just plain having fun and talking to people on both teams. I accept that I was wrong in 1 of the games, so-so depending on p.o.v for the other game, but the last one im completely in the clear, please remove the restriction which I did not fully earn due to 1 example being completely non-toxic.

Here's the log.

Denial ? I admitted my wrongs. I also stated that I shouldn't be punished for the 3rd example, no argument, no nothing. Other than the fact that in champ select my teammates got upset because I banned the drag & they were a party of 4 so they immediately told the other team I was being toxic and requested to report me so I told the other team exactly what It was and left it alone and enjoyed the game having some friendly chat with both sides for the rest of the game

You also were somewhat negative in the 3rd game, which by itself wouldn't have done anything, but combined with the previous 2 and others led to your ban ex:

Don't leave stuff out or I'll just ignore you. I said and I'll say again, " I shouldn't be punished for the 3rd example" there was no argument that game, nothing. Listen, none of us are all goody two shoes, overly eccentric, happy, passive people. I doubt you or the nect guy reading this is whether it's in person or a league chat-box. I just let the other team know what happened prior so they wouldnt report me. That's it.. The rest is just game chat which would be expected in a competitive game like league, Riot understand's this and even implemented champ taunts. If I cant have fun and talk to and joke around with the enemy team in a non-aggressive nor profane way then what's the point ?

Go ahead, you don't need to respond. You said you shouldn't have been punished for the 3rd game and that Riot allows the things you said, but frankly, that's not true.

You also used denial in the fact that the 2nd game was defending against a racist. That isn't an excuse to be toxic.

Let's take a moment to remember that champs come with taunts... What I said couldnt be anymore "toxic" than a champ taunt. NO ONE is passive all game, all day long. If I deserve a restriction for some makeshift lift of game comments then I can incest my time and money in a different game. League needs to prioritize what is truly toxic and what is not. A racist guy gets off scott free while the angry guy in defense gets punished.

That's not wrongfully punished at all. You were very negative towards your teammates and you asked for reports. Asking for reports is a bannable offense, as riot considers it harassment.

I asked for a report for a guy being racist. His clan tag and name was "N***** Slayers" I would like to think that I should be able to make the people im playing with aware and telling them to report is the right thing to do. The guy had a racist clan tag/name which really offended me. Would action be done if I alone reported that because no one else noticed ? No. So I made them aware and requested their support.

You are judged for your actions. What other players say or do has little to no bearing on your judgement.

If you felt they deserved punishment all you needed to do was report after the match.

Yes. Reports are counted per game reported in. Not per report filed. 1 report per game is just as effective as 9 per game. Asking for reports is punishable as a form of harassment. Especially since your report is the only one needed for an account to be flagged.

What Twiggles said. Reports are weighted per game, not per report. Your 1 report on the game was enough to trigger a review, so asking for reports was unnecessary. Thus, RIOT considers asking for reports harassment.

It's not acceptable to be negative towards your team. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. You weren't completely innocent in this chat log, so it's considered valid. It's also possible that other people didn't appreciate the "joke" between you, yi, and gnar.

Anyway, punishments are not granted for only 3 games, they're granted for getting reported consistently over a large period of games. You've been reported a lot more than this. These chat logs are just examples of what you're saying that's not acceptable in the community. Going forward, keep negative comments out of chat, even when you really want to say them. Chat is strictly for trying to win the game and being sportsmanlike.

That's odd.... I haven't recieved one notification from the Tribunal about the past 3 or so racist guys I encountered in the past month being banned. You mean to tell me that my friendly chat or mildly competitive chat is a problem but being called a "N*****" isn't ? There's something wrong with this system.... Another thing, I find that very strange seeing as though champions come with taunts which for the most are slighlty less aggressive than I am. Also, I didnt agree that I was being toxic in the first two. I agreed that I was in one and just being defensive in the other. I bet this guy is still scott free with his racist clan tag and name while I'm here trying to get this restriction lifted because it's bs

You don't know that they weren't punished. That notification only goes out to the last person that reported them. You're trying to make an argument that doesn't exist. What anyone else did is irrelevant. What you did is what matters, and it's indisputable that you broke the rules. Even if someone else was 'worse' that doesn't make what you did okay.

That's even odder......

  1. Your second sentence is false, my friends have reported a player and all received the notification simultaneously stating that player was punished.

  2. So ? I expected there to be some kind of backlash for my response, what I didnt expect was for me to be the only one punished.

  3. The other players went to the post game lobby and left immediately while a friend and I reported him. Neither of us received a notification so this random overly racist guy is unpunished while I'm here talking to you.

1: That is in the same game. If the person you reported played another game and was reported and banned, you would not be notified.

2: You don't know that you're the only one punished, you are assuming that

What you did a few games ago may not have been okay, no player on league is a saint and as I said. the game is very competitive. I dont go around cursing everybody out, I just have to speak my mind when someone is being racist or feeding for no reason. Riot didnt expect us to be docile creatures with hearts of gold. Hell, what did you expect on a 17+ game based solely on killing or "slaying" other players. This whole game is focused on violence and trash talk is apart of gaming as a whole so what I did wasnt wrong but completely normal. If Riot finds that my "toxicity" is a problem then maybe they need to make this game more kid friendly and subtract all the in game blood and violence & sex appeal along with the champ trash talk (alt-2) since this is ALL toxic by riot's definition.

From what I understand, you only get a notification if your report is the one that leads to the ban. If you reported, then several others reported in the following games afterwards, then only the last player in that report chain gets the notification.

Your punishment is proof that there's nothing wrong with the system. You were inflammatory and negative towards your team, and you got punished. That's how it's intended to work. If you keep consistently acting the way you did in these chat logs, your punishment will be escalated to a 25 game chat ban then a 2 week ban after that.

You need to take this stuff seriously: You can't be a jerk in chat every game. It's against the rules. It's okay to slip up once in a while, but the majority of your games your chat needs to be non-inflammatory. No arguments, no insulting your team, no complaints. Mute liberally if you have to. It's honestly less stressful when you focus on the game and not chat.

False false and false, I could rekindle this argument again by saying the system is defective, if a player is far more "toxic" than I am but is unpunished then there is definitely a problem. I'm not being a jerk, I'm being real. This is gaming, it's always going to be a competitive and fun atmosphere that's gonna have a little bit of trash talking and a little bit of conflict between teammates. Especially in League when you have a lot of people who won't get better or change their playestyle without someone letting them know what they're doing is being a handicap to the team. Let's not forget the genre of the game and what goes on. Man up and accept that people deserve to say what's on their mind of defend themselves from some racist or homophobic or overly aggressive player.

It's really not about what you deserve. This isn't "gaming", this is League of Legends.

In order to play League of Legends, you are forced to agree to be a sportsmanlike player in the terms of service. It's never okay to intentionally make another player's experience in League worse. If you break the terms of service, then you're punished.

I'm sorry, is League of Legends not a game ? Is this cooking or something ? I don't know if you thought you were saying something or trying to be funny but you've failed in both areas. And "sportsmanlike" ? Haa, have you played any sports ? Do you know what sportsmanlike behavior is ? Because it varies from sport to sport but a common thing amongst these sports is everything I stated in my last comment. You and a lot of other players are to frail and docile and this may reflect how you are in person, a weak minded individual that believes authority to be absolute. What if someone being overly passive ruined my experience ?? These terms you speak of have a lot of grey area since what someone says and how other players in the game feel about it varies since we're not all like you, sensitive and indifferent to situations in which someone is justifiably so, right in a sense of defense for their own moral values as a person before a summoner.

It's pretty black and white to tell if something was sportsmanlike, actually. You look at the comment and ask yourself: What was the intention of saying this? If it was to hurt, threaten, or coerce the other person, then it wasn't sportsmanlike at all!

If it wasn't, then you're probably good to go.

Btw, for anyone commenting to me after this. I won't read it because I've lost interest in this discussion. Riot, you need to unban me because this is evidence of my "toxic behavior" is a reach and not enough to restrict me again. Dont plan on messaging me because I probably won't notice until a long time from now. Just remember, this is a 17+ game in which the players are expected to be of age and adults like myself use profanity and trash talk. It's mainly apart of everything that is gaming and sports too. No need to pretend your players are going to be some overly passive, docile creatures with any negative thought and the restraint to constanty hold back even the slightest non-friendly remark in a game which focuses on killing off each other/ random jungle animals or "creatures", while having an overly busty female champ walking around dress in bunny lingerie. This game is entirely mature and mature audience's would expect a little trash talk here and there with a quick dispute every now and then as long as it's justifiable. MAN UP RIOT !

You were a dick, and you got punished accordingly. Every argument you made after that about other toxic players in invalid. You have no proof they weren't punished. As was explained above, you only get the notification if you were the final nail in the players report coffin. Even if that wasn't the case, just because someone is worse than you doesn't mean that you shouldn't get what you deserve. You've been reported enough to earn yourself a punishment, that means beyond these games are another handful that flagged you often enough to be put before the tribunal.

You got what you deserved, doesn't matter if someone else out there deserved it too. They will get their ban/restriction same as you.

riot has said that trolls tend to report more people than anyone. it would be interesting if that was a way of flagging trolls - people who report most every game.
