Can I Get An Appeal?

Hey Everybody,

I'm kinda miffed. Was doing pretty well in a game last night, it was first time I'd picked up league in a few months due to college. Suddenly my internet provider kicked out my service mid game, we were at about the 22 minute mark. That stunk pretty bad, I was pissed. And it was out for a while, not some temporary disconnect.

But worse off is when you get back on the next day and find out you've been "Leaver Busted". What the heck?! Is Riot unable to tell when your internet connection dies and when you go into the game itself to click "leave game"? I'm sure in some way they must be able to see or monitor what my button presses were during the game, they must be able to see that I didn't leave my comrades in arms on purpose.

This kind of crap really bothers me. Because, if I the leaver buster system only records time away from the match and how many people push report (that Trist told me that I should stop hitting minions, despite having relic shield....), without there being a way for me to make an appeal on the decision due to electronic circumstance, then there is a serious problem.

Guys, I enjoy these item 3094 games a bunch. So much adrenaline, so much tactical thinking, it's incredible.
I'm just Soraka wishing the game didn't immediately throw me in the timeout corner without a trial.

Internet connection is relative you can just as easily disconnect you Ethernet and say you disconected, so riot doesn't consider that a factor having a thought process like you should check you internet before playing etc. that being said the more games you play with out incident the quicker you get back into riot's good standing.

Leaverbuster is an automated system. It does not hit you for a single game. Don't leave games, then you won't get hit

Both of these comments are missing a point; I've been gone for over 3 months. Is there no reset time for their "Leaver Buster"? If I've been doing it regularly, then yeah, I have nothing to complain about. But being gone for a while has no basis on the application of a penalty?

There's no way that this is this the first time you've left a game. Even if it's 2 years ago it still counts. Raise the number of games without you leaving and you'll be fine.
