**Hello kind people ! I don't know from where to start first ... anyway , let me tell you why I'm so desperate . It all started with a ranked game in League of Legends , it was beautiful morning , birds were singing , sun is just rising and I'm drinkin coffee , ah the perfect morning . I was on the peak of positiveness. And so I after a couple of minutes when the game started appeared one little creature called Vayne , she had no border , that was not a problem for me , she got a DFT keystone , that was not a problem either , the problem came after a minutes of farming when she suicided for the sake of the playz .I was like - ,,what am I seeing'' ? I asked her : Vayne why did you do that ? She answered me : For the sake of the playz . I was like Ok , typical Vayne nothing more to say about that . I was only concerned about my lane and my lane opponents when suddenly we were ganked by Kata , yes .. a Kata .... with Death Cap in 15 minutes. When I pressed Tab my eyes started to bleed : Yasuo has died 7 times , our toplaner was not better either. Just let me don't talk about our jungler who said that Kata is impossible to be ganked ... Anyway we lost , we did not stood a chance , but its just onother day in League of Legends.I'm fine with that , you can't always win , but its not fair to lose over and over because somebody is trying champions in ranked , please .... I guess some day this will perish and I will receive a proper match where I can compete with someone equal or above my level , it will be a real pleasure even if I lose. ** **That is all dear friends on Summoners Rift , thank you and have a nice day ! ** [slayer-jinx-catface]

Ghostcrawler just posted about how to add depth to the game while minimizing the importance of helping people in lower ranks and newbies actually learn the game. His failure I'd sum up like this:

If you look at a league game as a game of chess... It's easy enough, there are pieces on both sides and the same number of them (no silly comments about 4v5's please).

It's the players behind them that move the pieces that make the plays which get into their opponents heads and beat them.

But what happens too often in lower ranks and with newcomers is that they don't bring the normal queen and pawns to this chess match... they literally have brought checkers and cheezits. That isn't a problem for the newcomer or lower ranked player to figure out.

Now if it was 1 player vs. 1 player, this wouldn't matter. The cheezit player would know they need to bring less cheezits to the game (unless for a snack!) and would progress.

Unfortunately, this isn't what happens because 5 players on each team. And if 4 other people on your team are playing with chess pieces and you're that dude playing with cheezits... they're going to be pissed at you, and naturally so and I believe a lot of toxicity comes directly from this effect.

And in my case, I'm in some ranked games and (ok maybe there's a cheezit or two left on my board) but I look top and the dudes 0/8 playing with legos, the mids 3/9 playing with doritos, my jungler has half a set and half crayons and my adc is just chilling bot with me watching our hopes of winning evaporate as the enemy fizz goes 15/2 in 12 minutes.

The biggest problem though with all of this is that because of the nature of the game... these players have NO FUCKING CLUE that they've brought a pair of mittens to a gunfight. And even my best attempts to help them come off as toxic.

It's NOT FAIR for people to not know the absolute basics of map control, for "recommended" builds to be flat out wrong, for runes to make or break a lane match-up while requiring a lot of research and understanding, to understand that cs is important, or why wards should be up (AND WHERE THEY SHOULD BE) when they are matched with ANY player who knows these things. If there was a method of tracking these skills ranked wouldn't be as toxic but there isn't. It's luck of the draw and I can tell you, when you have to rely on that luck... it's not fun.

And continually devs scoff at stuff like sandbox mode and cs simulator and skill shot practice... yet this is EXACTLY where the best players in the game spend thousands of hours

they could be trying stuff, or they just being outplayed.

I guess those vayne mains look puny in comparison to dem yasuos.
