What does Riot do about Ranked afk/troll/feeding/reports?

I've been interested in what Riot does for the teams that have to suffer with these types of toxic players?

My premade and I had a Jhin that refused to do anything but spam chat. At first I just thought he was bad, but as a Blitz up against his counter in morgana I was still snagging good hooks on her or the adc and baiting out the shield before engaging anything. After the third hook that I snagged them and he didn't do anything he basically spammed chat with gibberish, stood still so he could die, and afk'd at lvl 6 until the team was past lvl 10, returned to feed and spam, afk'd again and then came back saying he would have been good if his support (me) wasn't so bad. Even the enemy Morg made specific mention that I was getting good hooks against her spell shield.

We reported him and would love to see Riot do something, but even if they do something about HIM, what about US that had to suffer from him? We lost IP, one of us whiffed our promos and one of us got demoted back to bronze. Does Riot do Ranked Game Bans as well to keep people from going into ranked but still access normal where the repercussions are at least a bit less? I just don't understand the punishment system to this game moderation's community oversight.

Sounds like intentional feeding. After a little while, the automatic system will flag him with a 2 week ban, and if he doesn't reform after that a permanent one. Ranked game bans were found to be inefficient at dealing with negativity, so they're just banned from the game entirely.

Something that would be nice to have is a way to give you the lost LP back if someone on your team gets banned for something they did in that game. The fact that you had them in game is bad enough, having to work harder to get back to where you were because of it should be something that is discussed.

Well, when I had an experience of a person trolling me in game, I continuously asked him to stop and I got a 14 day ban for alienating this player because I was calling him a troll... so gl...

I think they do nothing. you just loose time, lp ,u become mad, most of the time u will reported and banned from chat about verbal abuse. I think the only that they ban is verbal abuse and nothing more. they do not look why u talk bad or what happened in the game, and lead you in this behavour. I f you have an afker in ranked or a troll or a realy bad player that he feeds, all you have to do is accept your defeat, your lost time, your lost lp, and maybe your penalties about something you said about him. Honor riot for this. i accept that i get mad and i accept my penalties about the verbal abuse. but what about the trolls? what about the afkers? what about feeders? what about players who did not cooperate? NOTHING!!! Just accept your defeat and talk nice!!!!

p.s. I think it would be good, if a team have afker, that a percentage of the rest summoners lp is redused by the afker. so the afker loose more lp and the rest team do not punisked so much about his action.

I Had a similar experience with a guy that was playing against is team. I was playing in EU WEST, Tuesday 29 June, at 00:30 local time when a guy playing with Tahm Kench entered my team. This person deliberately played to harm our team, swallowing friends and putting them in harm’s way. Sometimes he went AFK, but the worse was when he just swallowed a friend, stopping it to kill enemies and then throwing them in the worse position possible. I don’t know what Riot does to prevent this kind of people to ruin other’s fun, but I think that they should make sure that no champion could give is player the possibility to harm its team in a manner so dreadful. I’m sure they did not phantom the possibility of such a terrible use of a champion, but we should take in mind that when a game is released for all the community that there will be some deranged minds that will pervert even the purest idea. Personally, I think that something have to be done against people that goes AFK because they turn almost impossible to win the game, but this kind of people that deliberately plays against its team are even worse.

I don't see why this kind of people don't get banned.
