Riot give us an option from the client to disable chat....

Till then "go fuck yourself worthless downs syndrome having feeder" is apparently going to by my welcome message to every game by "random disgruntled teen"

Anytime i say anything back i get punished.

Why don't you give us an option to disable chat before going into the game so my eyes don't even have the chance to read these kinds of comments?

Doesn't that make more sense than punishing people for calling each other names on the internet?

Or is it just that by eventually banning a player for chat, you already know they're invested in the game and are more likely to open another account and spend more money rather than forget about it and quit the game?

Don't think I've ever heard a reason from you guys on why there's not an option to disable chat. You always just ignore the question.

i'm at the point where I want to be toxic in every game. I want to be the shit head that pisses someone off so tHEY go off on me so i can get them banned. Cause i'm seeing now this is actually how shit works at riot games.

You even commend the party that successfully flamed and and got someone banned/restricting rather than looking at both sides of the conversation and banning the instigator (which is what you SHOULD be doing if you want to punish ANYONE for language).

But, common sense doesn't make sense for Riot Games unless it actually makes cents. Well played capitalism... Well played...

This is a multi player base game. If you can't get along with strangers for 40mins then you shouldn't be playing.

Here's a thought... Game starts. Mute everyone before going to lane. There ya go: chat disabled.

Literally just happened to me last night. I got chat banned originally for responding to some douche bag who was in a duo and insulting me so the minute I respond they both report me. Then last night some jack ass bitched about me not ganking (remember on chat ban) so I told him 3 times to stfu. He carried of for 40 minutes, around the 25 minute mark I lost my cool and called him a cun* then he reports me now I'm banned for two weeks.

Emailed riot - they haven't even read the logs, just said they're not gonna review it. This is seriously bs. I warned the dude 3 times.

You can say things back that aren't offensive.

last time I had a horrid teammate I just told him he was a horrid teammate and that I'd never want to play with him again because he was very rude for telling me I was bad. I get it I sound like I am a grandmother from upper class southern england. But it got my point across without being offensive.

Just wrote learn a bunch of polite responses that you can use whenever someone is pissing you off.

"there is no need to be upset"--- is my favourite.

I still a little confused about which side of the argument you are on though. Telling people to "not get offended on the internet" is an absurd statement. You have to treat this game and the rest of the internet like its a public space. You are basically in a park, would you yell these things out to strangers? if no don't do it.

I get that you sometimes get frustrated but telling people they are bad doesn't work.

In my last ranked game my Ezreal, who was frustrated by his lack of peel said.. "we can't play another teamfight like that".... "oh, how should we play it?"... "I thought it would be obvious"... "its not tell us"... "err well you should protect me from the assassins and kite backwards so me and Kayle can destroy them". We listened to him then won the next teamfight by CCing each assassin as they tried to engage on Ez and Kayle. blowing them up one by one.. then we easily engaged on their exposed back line. Took out mid lane and soon the game. Basically before hand we were just diving the enemy Jhin instead of protecting Ez first.

that.. constructive criticism actually worked.

"/mute all" at the beginning of the game. Then never talk to any of them. Problem solved.

you can position chat and mute everyone. you could make the chat really small and out of the way so you don't see it that well, and mute everyone. just an idea.
