14 day ban looking to become a good citizen!

I have received a well deserved 14day ban ill be honest, was very toxic in ranked and well just lost my temper a few times. I love this game and when games are good i love this community. I plan to for the first couple of weeks i get my account back just mute the entire room as soon as i see any toxicity, now i am worried that this could cause me to get more reports, if i make a bad play or end up feeding a lane, cause i know people /all and tell the other team to report if someone is feeding even if its on accident or there just playing bad. Now my concern is since i dont want to lose my account and i figured muting everyone in the lobby as first sign of toxicity is a good idea, can this cause me to get reports since ill be muting my own team, ad if i play bad and there raging at me and im ignoring them theyll /all and say to report. if this happens and i still get reported if i play bad and am ignoring the team can i get perm banned? Or will riot review and see i did nothing wrong.Ive been ingames were i went 11-10 and had entire lobby report me for feeding when i was just playing bad....

First off, it's great that you have recognized that you have these issues and want to fix them. As for your concern, it is perfectly acceptable to ignore everyone. Just drag that chat box off the screen if you need to. Don't worry about having bad games, either. Sure, you might receive a report now and then, but unless it is incredibly obvious that you have a history of trolling or feeding, those reports will never mean anything. We all have bad games from time to time. And if you truly need to communicate with your team in some way, most of the time pings are sufficient enough. Just don't spam them like I'm sure we have all seen before.

If you ever come to the point where you feel like you want to want to bring the chat back into your game, here are a few suggestions:

  1. Turn off cross-team chat. No one on the enemy team will ever have anything useful to say to you. The best you can expect from the other team is a couple of laughs. The worst is them saying something specifically to make you angry. The trade-off simply isn't worth it.
  2. Don't send any messages if it won't be helpful to your team. Saying things like "That was a stupid thing to do" doesn't help anyone, and most of the time they already know that they are doing something wrong.
  3. Just because someone is being toxic toward you doesn't mean you get to return it for free. The only thing that matters is what YOU do, not them. Just mute them and report them after the game.

Hopefully this helps. Good luck, and more importantly, have fun in your future games.

You don't need to mute them, but just think before you type. If you feel you are about to lose it, just apologize. If they are raging, then just try to block it out. I know it is easier said than done, but you control what you type out and say.

Some people may still try to report if you say nothing (and may trigger the auto warnings). However if there is no chat to analyze, then there will be nothing to punish.

Even back when they had "Refuse to Communicate", it was never actually punished.

As far as whether you should sit out or not, that's up to you. Currently, it takes roughly 3 months for behavior-related punishments to drop a tier, but that also assumes there are enough games played during that time to show improved behavior.

If you get pissed off at people just yell at the computer screen. Whatever you do don't type anything! Literally the only things you should be typing are "gj", "wp", or "gg." That's it! If you really want to avoid a ban that is all you should type for the next 3 months and if you find one person is really pissing you off and you feel like you can't control yourself then mute that one individual person. That allows for maximum communication and helps you practice self control.

Just a warning, if you get un chat restricted/banned, play a bunch of games where you are not toxic, you might get another restriction/ban for a shorter amount of time, cause, "your toxicity meter is still too high for our liking."

Yeah it's kinda bullshit but literally a Rioter said this to a person through tickets and the guy posted screenshots on the boards. Just be prepared.

1.) We all have bad games / Loss Streaks, "If you Feed" as in giving the enemy kills, but not (Intentionally Feed) as in just run into the enemy team and die on purpose over and over again then hopefully Riot manually reviews these cases and sees the problem and deals with it you shouldn't get punished for this.

2.) Players who argue with me in chat, or start saying toxic comments, I just mute everyone, I turn off my sound I don't even care anymore about the game no point in arguing players who do not understand anything right (This is what gets you suspended usually from what I understand is arguing idiots / trolls.)

Examples of where you can feed or do bad.

. The enemy gets ahead in 1v1 lane phase, or a hard counter, and begins diving you. . Your Jungler is completely useless doesn't gank or help ( I am serious about this.)

. Your jungler runs into your lane and (Feeds the enemy) This happens to me the other day they ran into my lane, without thinking got the enemy +2 kills even though I was clearly ahead game goes very bad players argue because they don't want to make changes to the play that is happening in game, and I either argue and be toxic or mute everyone still end up with awful stats because of it, obviously the player is going to report me, but I just be quiet and file a report for their actions of running in my lane and getting the enemy ahead when the game was going well.

. Your team doesn't have a good enough comp, or combos to win group fights ,sometimes there is little or nothing you can do, there is a huge difference between LCS, and Solo Queue, LCS is actually organized teams think about What will happen when taking champions, not to mention lots of practice together compared to Solo Queue.

You can't get reported for not typing. Pings are all you need. False reports are thrown out, so even if they report you for a bad play if you didn't open your mouth or troll you'll be fine. BUT even the slightest act of negativity will get you banned. Do not afk. Do not 'open mid'. Do not ask for reports.

PSA:

Stop playing on your account or you will get perma banned. Get a new account to play on for the next 3-6 months or that 2week banned account will get perma-ed.

Once you are perma banned, you have no recourse to get your account back. Even if you are falsely reported, some RIOT team member will look back through your entire history to find the most toxic game you've had, and post it here and say its justified even if the final ban CLEARLY SHOWS NO TOXICITY. It is just a platitude that they allow players to "reform". If you get falsely reported once you've had a 2 week ban, you will be permabanned. Dont play on this account for a long time. Get a new account.
