Wrongfully getting Reported

**How many of you have been wrongfully reported for doing literally nothing wrong? ** _-You never said a ill thing to anyone... -You kept positive even if the game outcome is slim... -You did your 100 percent best whether you are new or professional... -When you obviously state that you are New or Learning..
-In ARAMS because you are unfamiliar with a champ but you are giving it your all anyways.. _

**If you have been reported for something silly.. post down bellow your story.. **

Are Summoners expected to not make mistakes? Are all summoners supposed to be the BEST Players EVER in league?? Reporting someone just because they are not playing how YOU want them too .. to me.. is wrong. Depending on the situation of course. I'm sorry but.. no player.. no person.. is truly alike. Everyone is unique in their own way. People will play champs differently then most whether they are experienced or not.

Today I have witnessed a team mate get harassed in ARAMS. The summoner was playing Twitch at the time, the opponents had a Fiddlesticks whom was doing some serious damage to us all. The opponents were working together very well and were plucking us off quickly. One of Our teammates decided to report Twitch for nothing. Then would tell the other teammates [Including myself] to Uninstall the game. The Opponents were still hardcore pushing, there was a chance of our win if we would work together.. but because of this ONE teammates negativity we were loosing quickly. I stood up for the Summoner who was playing Twitch. He was playing as hard as he could, I could tell. A lot harder than I whom was playing Kindred for that round. I'm sorry but.. Kindred is squishy as heck lol I cannot Leap into the battle crowd and expect to be the victor without some help by a tank. [I'm fairly new with Kindred and still have plenty to learn] But because I was not making 'expected' 'superior' plays, and because I was standing UP for Twitch and Ekko.. I got reported. I did not say anything negative... I kept positive in-spite of our outcome. Everything I spoke was civil, but to still get my point across. It Angers me to see someone get picked on for nothing. _ Sure I can simply Mute bad sportsmanship players.. but will that really solve everything??? Will that put a player at ease after he or she is being bullied, taunted, harassed AND wrongfully reported?_

People come on League to have fun, play the game for pure enjoyment.. some come on the game for job opportunities.. some want to become the best by learning.... but I get the feeling some just come online to ruin someones day.

For those of you who are 'Learning' like I am.. You cannot simply Learn just by playing Bots all the time. This is what I have been told by Plenty of friends who are highly into the game. Playing against other Players is a different Level, and in order to get good at PVP.. You would need to play PVP correct? Watch videos if you need to? Take advice? etc? I'm focusing on playing Normals and ARAMS with a tiny bit of Bot play if I get a new champion.. But I force myself to play Normals knowing I'm not good at it, to GET BETTER. I even TELL my Teammates in advance, and there are many great players that can accept this and move on. But there are others.. that don't care and will use the Report option in an abusive manner.

Listen.. I am not typing this expecting a change in the Social side of League... but people need to realize that there will ALWAYS be someone struggling and needing assistance in this game. There will ALWAYS be a player that is better than you.. no matter WHAT rank you are. If you see yourself as a Leader.... A TOP player.. that is BETTER than anyone else.. How about you put your professionalism into good use? Teach.. Give Advice. Message that person who is struggling.. see if you can help him or her improve or if they Want to. I Do. I want to improve sooo bad, because the game itself is fun. But it is NOT fun to get wrongfully reported... or to watch your teammate get attacked verbally by another teammate who sees him or herself as gods gift. Loosing matches will happen in League.. probably a lot more than Wins. No one has a straight Perfect Winning streak. If you do.. prove it lmao.

Repeat after me: You cannot be punished for false reports.

Yes, people can report for whatever they want, but those false reports mean nothing and will do nothing unless you specifically violated anything from the ToS or Summoner's Code. To which, by then will no longer be a false report, and instead be legitimate since you were in clear violation of the ToS or Summoner's code. "Defending" yourself does not magically make you free of punishment. You are responsible for your own behavior regardless of circumstance.

So please, stop spreading false information and hysteria, and actually read the Riot Support page on what it takes to get banned, and how the report system actually works.

Sure I can simply Mute bad sportsmanship players.. but will that really solve everything?

No, but it certainly will help a lot more than joining in on the toxic behavior and making it worse for everyone, including yourself.

Will that put a player at ease after he or she is being bullied, taunted, harassed AND wrongfully reported?

Even if you can't get past it, the least you can do is stop it from getting worse. Reporting them will contribute to the offender(s) getting punished, but if you stoop to their level and get punished too then you're definitely not going to feel that it helped.

Have you been Wrongfully Reported by an Abusive Player?

Their false reports will not hurt you if you've done nothing wrong. If you ignored all my advice and became toxic in retaliation, all you did was validate their reports against you.

You are unlikely to sway the opinion or reform a stranger by arguing with them in game, so if you feel the need to "teach" them something, do it in a positive manner and leave them alone if they aren't being receptive.

I don't have much of a story, but recall being threatened with a report during a game and then being reported for no legitimate reason. Whilst i agree with the notion of "who gives a shit" when that happens, since i was not going to get banned, i'm uncomfortable with the fact that you get an automated message indicating that other players feel like you did not act in accordance with the summoners code, as that's simply incorrect, and secondly, some players would be misled into thinking that they did act inappropriately. In other words, I don't think you should be warned for breaking the rules unless you've actually broken the rules imo.

Can't say I've ever gotten the "We all have bad days" message when you get reported frequently back to back, so any reports I've gotten have been few and far between.

Sure I can simply Mute bad sportsmanship players.. but will that really solve everything???

Yes. Both of you mute the unsportsmanlike player, then you start a friendly conversation yourself. Reports get verified before anything happens, so if you didn't do anything nothing happens. Your positive example helps offset the negative one.

Only all the time.

I have bipolar disorder so I'm fairly emotionally sensitive. Also I don't "main" any champ I'm trying to play them all, so that means often I'm fairly bad.

However the problem arises when I play and the chat gets active. I screw up, or make a comment about something bad, you know just a general complaint harmless, and then I get picked at.

Let me explain, I never hound on anyone in game for being bad, EVER, ok, EVER, it's not me, I understand being bad at the game, as long as you can say out loud "I'm not dying on purpose" then fine man no problem at all.

BUT, when I do bad, people do not hesitate to say things like "you suck" "uninstall" "kill yourself" etc, but you know it's totally ok because theyre good at the game I guess. (Hence why the mods have created a safe haven for this in SR? Idk, I never play there anymore because of this)

and when OTHER people are doing bad (like my last report pull it up Riot 4/8/18 it's completely wrong to dishonor me for this) I try to help!! Again, for example in my last report some guy was playing Talon and doing HORRIBLE like worst kda on the team by a long shot totally feeding, but, instead of making things worse by making fun of him I tell him "Its ok to stay in the back, and if you have to just hang out behind me it's totally ok) I even built a useless tank Karma to protect him so he could do better in the game after all if he was fed there it wouldve been much more beneficial to the team. So what happened? Well he got mad. He thought I was insulting him and then he switched things and began to accuse me of feeding, being toxic, flaming, you name it. I literally was playing as his human shield I don't know how to be more honorable than that. So when I noticed this instigating that I've become so fond of I muted him, told him I muted him, and went on with the game.

After the game apparently chat blew up while I muted and everyone decided I was toxic and feeding.

How is that remotely fair?

TRUST ME I would just /mute all in every single game just to avoid this but because of the encouraged bullying, if I start screwing up, everyone in chat is going to have a discussion about how I'm feeding or i'm a bot, etc, then I come back to lobby to find out everyone is reporting me. Again, how the heck is that fair?

I don't like the behavior that has manifested and is harbored in the game. I would probably mind it less if it was just relentless flaming all the time, where I draw the line is when someone instigates and then someone like me says "shut up and leave me alone" and then I get reported for even reacting and they get off scot free.

Unfortunately, Riot now caters to the casual player and the toxic self degradation that follows such decisions. Riot does not want players to defend themselves or other players. Riot wants you to take the abuse and shut your mouth in order to not be reported. If you do speak out against the person wronging you or try to defend yourself, you are just as guilty as the original toxic player.
