Using "all chat" to your team's advantage!?

All chat is part of the game. As I see it, you can use it to your team's advantage, as a mind game. I sometimes use it to deceive the enemy team.

"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting."
  (Art of War)

Obviously, there are lots of ways to use "all chat" to try to decieve the enemy team. I want to discuss one practise in particular.

When my enemy team is ahead, I sometimes use "call chat" to pretend that I am tilted.

"Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak."
  (Art of War)

This basically has two effects:

  1. It reassures the enemy team in their feeling that they are in fact winning. And nothing can be more deceptive than the idea that you have already won.
  2. It often makes the enemy team try to use "my tilt" to their advantage by trying to tilt me even more -> by camping me. And camping is not very effective if you are expecting it.

Both overconfidence and ineffectivy gives my team a better chance of winning.

Now, do you consider this good practise, fair play, or what do you think? Obviously, pretending to be tilted may not be the best way to promote positive attitudes, but all is fair in love and war, right?

I jut try to trigger them by ending every sentence with "xD" and whenever they try to make a play , flash bad or something , I'll type "Ayyyyy Lmao that flash"

I call it fair and acceptable. There's nothing in the TOS about All Chat deception. I think it's rather clever, actually.

You... you are aware that this is not actually war, right? This is a video game. For fun.

Aaaanyway... As this is not war, everything is not fair, otherwise you could just straight up cheat. And as it is for fun, the way you treat not only your allies but also your enemies has to include a minimum amount of respect, to make sure everybody is at least having a somewhat pleasant time. Hypothetical scenarios are difficult to judge, but it has been shown that a lot of things people do for "mind games" are at the very least grey areas that can facilitate being punished for other "less grey" things.

Short version: I wouldn't do it.

Call out objectives and then sweep the area generally brings the enemy team running into an ambush.

I doubt it would be that effective, but if it works, go for it I guess.

I usually play tank support so I try to needle people a bit so they attack me. Usually don't all chat if I'm not tanking.

I think that, so long as your team is in the know, go for it. Depending on what you're saying, it can always be misconstrued as attacking teammates, in the inevitable generalization of poe's law
