Shouldn't people who ban your preferred champions get a warning?

I try to play normal games and I hover over my champion so they won't get banned like Swain for example, but there are so many trolls every lobby that they ban my champion. I report them, but nothing happens.

It's really toxic in my opinion because if I want to play a somewhat highly banned champion and ask my team not to ban it, they will think it's funny and WILL do it. I've reported such people many times, but nothing happens. This is a failed system where you can't try things in normal games without getting flamed, can't even get your champion because of trolls and the funny part is the trolls are the ones that end up feeding and flaming AND STILL DON'T GET BANNED. New players can't even play this game without having smurfs ruin their level 5 games, hell that's if they decide to keep on playing after getting flamed for not knowing what turrets do in a bot game.

The community is really unhealthy. If someone DC's and they've been typing in chat letting the team know about the weather condition and that they might lose power, the entire team will type in all chat, "REPORT REPORT AFK FKN NOOB FEEDS". I try my best to help out players that are playing a new champion in my game or the new players when I play a bot game and so on. I don't understand why we have to be so toxic towards people who do bad in a game as well. IT'S A GAME, YOU'RE NO FAKER AND EVEN FAKER DOES BAD.

If you take this game as a very important aspect of your life:- 1- Focus on yourself when you play. If your team or a teammate is doing bad then think of what to tell them in order to help and guide. If they don't listen or if they're trolling then just focus on yourself like if you know it's a loss, work on your CS or something like that. 2- YOU'RE NOT FAKER AND YOU HAVE HAD BAD GAMES AS WELL. Everyone does! Stop flaming or degrading people for having a bad game, you think you're going to gain something from it, I guess you will, a freaking ban.

Try to be helpful and act as a guide, you think your flaming will help, but it will cost you your account and all the money you spent on it. If you act with generosity and kindness, encourage those who are doing bad and help them by giving them tips (If they don't accept and flame at you, ignore them, you did your job!) and it will gain you more than what you think of.

I just want this community to get better.

A player can ban any champion for any reason.

Nothing is happening because it isn't punishable behaviour.

If someone DC's and they've been typing in chat letting the team know about the weather condition and that they might lose power, the entire team will type in all chat, "REPORT REPORT AFK FKN NOOB FEEDS".

If the player knows that there is a non-negligible chance they will lose electricity/internet, they shouldn't be queuing up for a match.

It is their responsibility and their fault.

Yep, they should. It's toxic and it's guaranteed to lead to a fight.

One day during Season 5 I wanted to play Fiora. In chat I said "don't ban Fiora". She was banned 4 of my 5 games that day. I finally had enough and told my last team that day that if no one dodged, I would AFK as soon as the game started. I did and went to the gym instead. Team had a 40+ minute loss.

The boards are against warnings for banning teammate champs though because like Riot, they don't like any actual critical thinking and truthfully don't want the toxicity situation to ever improve.

Here is Elduris' take.

While it's not something I think I'd always agree with, the ban does equally effects both teams, not just you. Additionally, say your team hovers only champs that are countered by the champ you want. Does it make better sense to try to pick that champ or to ban it?

In ranked lobby, ask somebody not to ban master yi. I tell them i will ban ahri. I ban ahri. Last ban on my team says "dude wtf you banned my ahri" instantly bans my yi. I hover over master yi and click him and the ahri says "i was hovering over her" She didn't click it and she didn't type that she was going to play ahri. I also don't like people who communicate a lot in the lobby for some reason.
