Is this Sportsmanlike?

Hi,

I'm Bronze, I have been Bronze for 3 years, I can accept that I'm not the most gifted player in the game, however I still enjoy both playing League Of Legends and watching the pro leagues.

I recently seen a website where you can pay to have a high ranked player boost your low ranked account to higher levels. I find this to be absurd and totally out of character with good sportsmanship.

If I was playing low grade Soccer for a local club and the opposing team brought in a player from a higher grade to win the game this would be considered unfair and possibly even cheating, why is it not so in League?

I am stuck in Bronze yet have to play against Diamond+ smurfs, who obviously can just smash players from the Bronze playing field.

And if you are lucky enough to make it to promos, which is your (local club grand final), you still can be met with these high level players.

For a comparative example. What would happen if LeBron James played for a local low grade basketball team to help them win the final?

I think the practice of boosting is totally unsportsmanlike and the attitude towards it needs to change. Just because you can hide behind a computer and get away with doing something doesn't make it alright, or acceptable.

Boosting is bannable and Riot is pretty good at detecting those accounts. Smurfing and boosting are also two separate things.

It is considered cheating. If you have someone boost your account; Your account will be banned.

Though smurfing is different_ (Also there aren't any DIamond+ smurfs in Bronze unless they are boosters, no diamond player gets placed that low from the start) _ since it's so easy to make a new account, you can't really stop it.

that's the real issue you shouldn't be allowed to have more then 1 account the work around for elo booster is very easy make an account for each tier bronze,silver,gold,plat, diamond to boost players can't be banned since he's smurfing. boost with proper tier then swap until next then just lose non stop until returning to original tier. More time consuming then using other player account but no infringement on rules since you are allowed to have more then 1 account.
