Idea (maybe effective) for the playerbase to have less ragequitters, throwers, feeders, and afk-ers.

tl;dr overhaul the punishment system, (which i already think is pretty damn good) into one with much greater impact to stop trolls, intentional feeders, casual players in ranked, and afk'ers (INCLUDING THOSE WHO KNOW THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO PLAY A MATCH AND DISCONNECT)

There are WAY too many people in this community that queues up a game either being tilted, not willing to win, or just know they don't have enough time on there hands to finish a game. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= It always sucks to win an invade, or get a huge lead first 10 min, but people say "gotta go" "sorry" "this won't happen again". Even that last part, "this wont happen again" doesn't make sense.

Possible solutions to these problems is just to overhaul the punishment system. Re-create all these punishments to the extreme. It only takes 1 person that losses the game and gets 4 others tilted.

Make punishments soooo harsh to the point where the lovely players can enjoy the league experience and the trolls hate punishment system where they would just quit league.

Even though these bad boys will quit league if the consequences are too extreme, it really benefits the community. -The entire playerbase would have less intentional feeders. -People would no longer make smurfs just to troll. -Even though the playerbase might go down by a bit, the playerbase would be much better.

I would be great if you guys experiencing what I am could spread this word and GIVE IDEAS OF NEW PUNISHMENTS!!

Besides, Riot, I always see advertisements about introducing new players into League Of Legends. Wouldn't it suck to see them experiencing the madness of these trolls and have them quit the game after 1 experience??

Thanks guys.

EDIT 1: heres a reddit post! lets spread the word! https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/9b39vm/idea_maybe_effective_for_the_playerbase_to_have/

The problem is that Riot doesn't want to ban players for being bad or just picking something off meta. The punishment system as is is already hard on trolls, two strikes and you're out. If it was any more severe then there would be no chance for reform, which is something riot has always been big on, and it would start to punish innocent players who we're just going through rough patches or had legit reasons to afk, e.g. kitchen on fire, lil bro choking, ISP treating my ping like an elevator.

Basically no we don't need more severe punishments, at best we need more Reds scanning games and less players reporting others for being bad, not for trolling but just being bad at the game.

Your poll sucks. You basically have it set up as "either agree with me or you are a troll".

I think Riot could implement a ranked ban, which wouldn't affect your Honor and would require you to play/win a certain number of normal games to be lifted.

I shouldn't have my account taken from me for a single instance of emergency AFK, or my router or something else within my connection network failing.

I feel as though you'd lose more players to the prospect of not being able to recover your account. And I know I'd be much less likely to spend money on a game that I'd just lose my account in on a random snap. The punishments are harsh enough. Just because you're not seeing the immediate repercussions doesn't mean that players aren't receiving demerits. If anything, this just means that Riot could do a little bit better a job of making sure folks are getting those "instant feedback reports", rather than changing anything in their current system of punishment so that player who were slighted can feel validated in their efforts to make the game a better place.

casual players in ranked

its video game, being casual is not trolling

nothing short of blatant elitism

casual players wont be in high ranks

It always sucks to win an invade, or get a huge lead first 10 min, but people say "gotta go" "sorry" "this won't happen again". Even that last part, "this wont happen again" doesn't make sense. Nobody likes it when that happens, wich is why riot as implimented a punishment for those who do it too much

Make punishments soooo harsh to the point where the lovely players can enjoy the league experience and the trolls hate punishment system where they would just quit league.

What about accidents? what if someone gets a blackout then another time their pc Blue screen or their conection dies these things happen

Even though these bad boys will quit league if the consequences are too extreme, it really benefits the community.

no it dosent it puts innocents in the crossfire

-The entire playerbase would have less intentional feeders.

do you know how hard it is to identify those? what if the player is just plain bad or a "casual"?

Besides, Riot, I always see advertisements about introducing new players into League Of Legends. Wouldn't it suck to see them experiencing the madness of these trolls and have them quit the game after 1 experience??

you know whats worst? being reputed for having extreme punishment. It would make any complaints about unfair ban legitimate besides woudnt that bring more casuals? If it worked as you said?

Overhaul the punishment system to extreme heights 1.0 Yes, make LoL a better place!! 2.0 No, I'm one of the trolls.

electricity fail rest in peace my darling account. thats how silly making the punish system harder and new players are also gonna be effected by hard punishment and trust me if a game i just started playing ban me for leaving a game i would not create or play again.

thats why we have step by step punishment which is fair imo

What we need is not harsher punishments, but better education on what is disruptive behavior , better detection of disruptive behavior and better transparency of the system.
