Queue By Age

So I was thinking, it hurt, that there should be an option to queue by age group. I am definitely older than the average League player. And it's probably the best video game I have ever played, that's saying a lot considering I had an Atari as a kid and remember when the NES came out. When I play, it's for fun. I understand that separating by age in ranked would skew the rankings, but I would happily wait an extra 5 minutes to go into a normal game to be able to play without people calling each other names and flaming because you don't read minds. I probably wouldn't miss the "toilet humor" either. I know the response a lot of people are thinking, "just mute all." I could but then I would lose part of the reason why League is so great, the community. Or even if not by age, what about a "Good Behavior Queue"? I understand the honor system is supposed to try to help with behavior, but if some of these kids don't get honor bonuses they can just cry to their parents for RP cards, and anybody who is a parent knows that at some point we have all spent $$ to get our children to be quite. There should be an option to be able to know that you are going to be able to play a relaxing game of league with your coffee in the morning before work.

The age thing is ultimately right out, as there's no way to confirm that or to prevent people entering whatever information they want -- and there is also not a strong correlation between age and in-game behavior. Riot has also said they don't want to have a "good behavior queue" because it effectively divides League into a toxic and non-toxic player pool, which makes reform harder and degrades quality for the less-well-behaved players.

What's stopping you from either creating or joining a club for older players?

The best way I could see something like this being accomplished would be for you to start a clan and queue into matches together or do custom games.

If you are queueing up together, you can at least minimize the toxic behavior on your own team.

I never had an Atari, but I'm almost 30. I don't know if that would qualify for your "older player" clan but I'd join in order to avoid toxicity.

If all accounts were linked to a Facebook profile, then it would decrease the chance of someone trolling the account, and that way queuing by age could be doable.
