Is This Worthy Of A 14 Day Suspension?

I know I'm still a little bit toxic but i recently got suspended for 2 weeks because of this single game. I have been WAY more extremely toxic then this and I really think this game shouldn't have got me banned. Especially since I'm trying really hard to not be toxic on my fast climb to gold before the season ends. Was I really toxic enough in this game to deserve this or was I cheated by a computer that picks up words from a chat log and determines the worthiness of a ban depending on how many reports an user got. I also think the Player Tribunal should be brought back and be used along with the instant feedback system to add some human morals to aid in the determination of a bad game from a toxic player. (Btw, you can tell I despise Lux and her skill level/simplicity)

Telling someone to harm or kill themselves will generally result in a minimum 14 day ban. That behavior is **never **acceptable in League.

Is This Worthy Of A 14 Day Suspension?

Generally, that's not the question. Punishment is dealt in tiers. If you get punished, you get a 10 game chat restrict. Next punishment, a 25 game chat restrict. THEN it's the 14 day ban. Therefore, what you should ask

Is this punishment-worthy?

If your attitude was negative, if you were flaming, being passive-aggressive or just being toxic, then yes. You will be punished.

The bolded part is one of the exception. Encouraging self harm is a big no-no and you skip tier 1 and 2 straight to 14 day ban. In 2 weeks, if you've fixed your behavior, Riot will welcome you back with open arm. If not, they're booting you out.

2.1. How can my account be suspended or terminated?

You understand and agree that using the Riot Services comes with the risk that your account may be terminated or suspended and that, whenever you use the Riot Services, you’ll bear this risk in mind and always conduct yourself appropriately.

When you agreed to play this game, you agreed that riot has the right to remove you from their game for any reason that violates their terms of use. They are not liable for any purchases you have made and those things are considered "their" property not "yours". When you purchase something it is only you buying the "rights" to access them as that property is entirely Riots. When you get suspended or removed then those rights cease regardless of purchases.

16.6. If I violate this Agreement and Riot does nothing for a long time, does that mean I’m off the hook? (No. We reserve all of our rights.)

Riot Games’ failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall in no way be construed to be a present or future waiver of such provision, nor in any way affect the right of any party to enforce each and every such provision thereafter. Any waiver by Riot Games of any provision, condition or requirement of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any future obligation to comply with such provision, condition or requirement.

Even if your behavior was not caught until now, or your behavior was triggered by another person's behavior: you are not justified. Riot's ability to enforce their rules is independent of their actual enforcement of the rules. Because you yourself were caught, Riot has already reserved the right to punish you even if they havn't punished you before for that behavior and even if they are unable to punish others for the same behavior, as you yourself were caught "red-handed". Believing that a behavior is OK simply because it goes largely unnoticed to a certain point does not make it OK: that is complacency.

The use of certain comments are considered offenses that are grounds enough for disciplinary action. It doesn't matter if you weigh your own comments differently then other people, you will be disciplined based on what Riot deems to be unacceptable behavior because they have reserved the right already: regardless of whether they are morally in the right or wrong.

In addition, I'm also sorry to say that judging by these chat-logs: your entirely deserve your 14 day ban. NEVER, ever tell someone to commit suicide in a game. Don't encourage it, don't point to it, don't even talk about it. There is absolutely no place nor excuse for these things. And to top it all off your were incredibly inflammatory towards your teammates, and have continually misbehaved. It doesn't matter how many times you have been toxic without getting caught, you deserve your suspension.

You should take the opportunity you have now to stop your account from becoming a full perma-ban and reform your behaviour. Work on addressing your behavior and take your ban seriously instead of trying to justify yourself. There are no excuses for certain types of behavior and Riot won't except them on the grounds that they have every right to say what is and what is not acceptable.

YOU NEED TO CHANGE

If you do not, YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED.

There are no excuses, and you are not justified.
