Riot is NOT responsible for bad teammates!

This is in the Player Behavior board because of the behavior of the players that believe Riot is responsible for their bad teams

Okay. So... I've seen so many posts blaming Riot for the people on their teams that are bad. This needs to stop.

Throughout all of these posts I have found something in common: They don't understand the matchmaking system. All of them say "Riot put me with bad teammates on purpose!"

Well, here's the thing: They don't put anyone on anyone's team on purpose. Riot has a system for matchmaking. Since the game is extremely popular and everyone plays at different times, and even more reasons (like it would take too much time), Riot employees can't "matchmake" themselves. They have to have something that does it for them. Hence, the matchmaking system. This system puts a random 10 people in a queue at the same moment into a match. If at least one of them declines, everyone is brought back into queue and continues until everyone in a match accepts. If everyone accepts, then champ select rolls along. Here, players are randomized into 2 teams of 5, which are the teams that you will be playing with.

Not that all of this is RANDOM, not some Riot employee going "Hey, this guy is good. Let's put him with 4 people that don't know how to play the game". Now that I've explained the system, I hope people realize what is wrong with their ranting on about Riot "purposely" matching them with bad teams. Although it happens a lot, its probably because a lot of players are bad or they just had a bad game.

Hope this clears things up :)

But RIOT is responsible for bad match making. It's not sensible to believe that Fill-in would win a lane vs experienced champ.

You are 100% correct, however, I think people are more so complaining that "My team has a collective iQ of a sack of rotting potatoes" I don't think people actually believe that a Riot employee is putting them with "idiots", I think they are more so complaining about the system in itself. I think people just need to learn people have bad games. [slayer-jinx-wink] edit: Also autofill, I suppose people are complaining about that as well, and I agree, I don't like autofill

Acually they are responsible. They know how toxic their community is yet they don't do anything against trollers. Yes if you dare to say a bad word or just write a lot you will be banned, while the inters, those who ignore everyone, who are just farming... they got away with anything. I have a printscreen about a guy who was inting in 6 rankeds games in row, bought only shoe in all of them, and every stats were like 0/18/0. He rarely had assist.

There is a great system in korea i think (not sure) where you have to confirm your registration with your mobile. Why is this really good? Because you cant make another account after a ban, you will another mobile phone! You can use the phone of your parents and when you used them as well, you don't have any other chance.... imagine if riot would use this system in every servers! People would think twice if they would troll or not.

So .... the game is theirs, they have solutions for problems, yet they ignore it... i would say there are a reason why people can act like this.
