Riot is NOT responsible for bad teammates!
This is in the Player Behavior board because of the behavior of the players that believe Riot is responsible for their bad teams
Okay. So... I've seen so many posts blaming Riot for the people on their teams that are bad. This needs to stop.
Throughout all of these posts I have found something in common: They don't understand the matchmaking system. All of them say "Riot put me with bad teammates on purpose!"
Well, here's the thing: They don't put anyone on anyone's team on purpose. Riot has a system for matchmaking. Since the game is extremely popular and everyone plays at different times, and even more reasons (like it would take too much time), Riot employees can't "matchmake" themselves. They have to have something that does it for them. Hence, the matchmaking system. This system puts a random 10 people in a queue at the same moment into a match. If at least one of them declines, everyone is brought back into queue and continues until everyone in a match accepts. If everyone accepts, then champ select rolls along. Here, players are randomized into 2 teams of 5, which are the teams that you will be playing with.
Not that all of this is RANDOM, not some Riot employee going "Hey, this guy is good. Let's put him with 4 people that don't know how to play the game". Now that I've explained the system, I hope people realize what is wrong with their ranting on about Riot "purposely" matching them with bad teams. Although it happens a lot, its probably because a lot of players are bad or they just had a bad game.
Hope this clears things up :)
