People complaining in normals

Chrystaya··6 votes·765 views

First off to those people who complain in a normal games need stop crying and understand that most people are here to play for fun or to practice a champion they want to be good at. Saying that someone should practice in a bot game doesn't help give the player the full gist of the champion they're trying to play. Playing against real people can help the player understand what he/she is doing wrong and understand more of what the champion can do. playing against bots doesn't do that because they are predictable when it comes fighting them. Help those people trying out new champions by giving advice rather than shutting them down with your toxic behavior. If they don't want your help then that is fine mind your own business then. If someone is feeding in your game, understand that most players are not trying to feed on purpose, it's just that they are having a bad time or don't fully understand how to play the champion. For those who actually intend to feed (you can tell the difference for those who intentionally feed and those who don't), just simply report at the end of the game. If you are a really competitive person then don't play normals at all just go back to playing your ranked games. Myself and many other players, are just trying to have fun and practice new champions to release some stress whether it was from a recent ranked game or from problems outside the game. Remember if you can't take the fact that someone is trying to have fun then go back to playing your ranked games or just don't play at all. This game is made to be fun not for you people to be toxic.

If you are playing normals you should still be trying your best to win. If you arent trying to win then you are trolling and should be punished for it.

Point out 1 actual difference between ranked and normals. Do the minions spawn faster? do you do more/less damage? is income different? No. Its league. And if you arent playing to win then you are trolling and should be punished. Making the "Its only normals" argument is just stupid and in itself should be punishable.

The difference in ranked and normal, Ranked playing for a "rank or tier" rewards the player with in game content (normals don't do that), example: people ranked gold or diamond get a border and exclusive skin. Normals help players understand the new champions they're trying or want to play example: if someone wants to go sion support? it can work, they need to cooperate and learn how to play with sion at the bot lane. Everyone has that motive of "playing to win" but they want to change it up to see how this champion who wasn't made for this specific role work in this game. If an ADC like Lucian can go mid lane then why can't a fighter like Fiora be played as a support in the bot lane. Everyone has that mentality to win but they want to do it in a different way. Like i said playing against real people rather than "bots" can help a player understand what to do.

you havent pointed out a real difference between ranked and normals. Everything you stated is out of game. Its not a difference in what you are playing. Its why the "its only normals" is a shitty excuse. Because the game is still a competitive multiplayer game that demands that you play your best.

go say that to a lot of players who play for fun with their friends. competitive doesn't mean not fun included. Also the guy explained himself pretty fine. the fact that people rage so much in ranked is why we stay in normals. NORMALS my friend from the early seasons of this game were and still SHOULD be a casual game less competitive and more for the funzies. everyone plays by the rules "kill the enemies and destroy the towers all the way to the base". if you play all competitive and agresive thats your problem. i dont say its bad. just dont bother people who wanna chill and have fun instead of trying to be a "professional". and also FUN isn't winning for everyone just so you knowitem 1001

What, first off, when it comes to spawn times (minions, deaths, or jungle monsters) you can already tell that there is no difference. Playing in normals, helps players improve on certain champions they want to play and to experiment how they are in other lanes/roles? How is that outside of the game? How are you going to improve out of the game? Ranked requires teams to have a specific comp to play while normals don't. Fun doesn't always mean you gotta win the game, others have different reasons.

just a question... but if you want to improve and learn the game wouldnt you want to play rank to do so cuz you are playing vs people who are "trying hard" so you can learn in the "harder" game mode?

as far as your point of people talking shit and telling people to go play bots etc to flame is wrong i agree...

but just like going from lvl 1 to 30 there are baby steps needed to be taken to "learn a champ"

your very 1st time ever playing a champ.... go into custom game get use to the abilities vs bots, do a few co op vs ai games. go to normals "practice " said champ and then go to rank if you care to do so

if we wanna compare rank like a profession... doctors and lawyers have "practices" even though they have their degrees and education and experience...

the entire game it self is a learning experience

but in the end its just about enjoying the game improving to try to be the best you can for your own reasons and no one should flame any one for being bad or having bad games

we all have done it ... non of us are professionals at this its all a "practice "

Sorry if i sound confusing. To answer your question, people in rank expect you to play to the best of your ability and a champion you are comfortable with rather than a champion you don't have experience at all with. People in normals still try hard, even if it doesn't look like it. Practicing on a champion you have minimal experience with in rank is up to you, but most people in rank care about their LP. But I agree, its a learning processes whether it is leveling up or playing a champ.

KaRniVooL132 votes

well yes you play champs that you are comfortable with and "good" on in rank cuz you are trying "to win" but you still are learning the game...

and the champ and match ups, team comps, micro and macro game play , etc

the game as a whole is always something to learn and improve upon

and to put these skills to the test to truly hone in and learn you need to do this in the "serious game " mode

even pro players are still learning and studying and practicing champs to always try to improve

No. I'm not gonna take baby steps and waste my time in customs, when I could play a normal game, that is much more fun (you know fun? The reason for video games in the first place) and get used to them in the first 5 minutes of the game. You're seriously treating it like this is a job.

KaRniVooL131 votes

ok i didnt say you had too... i was just stating ways to practice the champ to get use to them

Losing is never fun. You cant honestly tell me you enjoy having a 10/0/0 Caitlin Shit stomp your entire team winning the game in 17min.

Chrystaya1 votes

In a normal game POV, I don't care if a Caitlyn shit stomps my team that's fine, we just need to understand and learn from our mistakes that led to a fed Caitlyn. After all what do I or my team lose from losing a normal game? nothing. But to rage at other people who fed in a game where we got stomped is pathetic. To rage in a game where you would lose nothing like really? If it was a ranked game POV, you lose LP, one of your promo games, or your chances at getting in game rewards.

That is the only difference though. But it's an important one. Every normal game is completely inconsequential. That's the difference. Don't just excuse that.

I could win 100 normals in a row, but I'd still be silver 2. The ladder IS the difference, and the reason why normals aren't taken as seriously. Not everyone is a try hard. Yes they want to win, but they aren't gonna go research their champ and watch pro videos... it's a game, not a job.

So tell me this, why should normals be taken as seriously as ranked? Because YOU decide priorities for everyone, and decided that winning the game is top priority? Not you know, trying content in a game... new champs, item builds, etc... Just play what you know and study it like your income depends on it? Like youre gonna get a grade that will decide your future? Thats what YOU want, but YOU arent the arbiter of priorities for anyone but yourself.

Yes, outright intentionally feeding and not giving a single care is still toxic behavior even in normals. But OP is saying that normals simply have less responsibility and thus allow more "wiggle room" for players to tinker and experiment with different champs, builds, etc. Even pro players like QTPie often resort to normals to formally test ideas. Also, some people find fun in playing, not winning.

Its only Flex. How about that one.

totally this, 100%. And i dont know where ppl get the idea that ppl who play normals do it for practice. Personally i play normals on my main when i lose too much ranked games because of my bad team, then i easily destroy my lane in normals because the ppl im against are so much worse than ranked.

There are only 2 ways to have fun in this game, winning and trolling. Up to you which path you pick to have fun in a game.
