Ping's and Chat generally ignored by players it seems like

I am a lower elo player so its possible its only an issue for those in these ranks, but I've noticed people are generally inclined to ignore both pings and chat. I feel people are so use to being harassed that they've grown to ignore chat all together. it can make the game difficult as it's a team game and one member is going into it deaf. I was wondering if anyone else felt similar.

Ya, spamming ping does that to me too. Luckily, you can mute them, although that wasn't always the case.

For chat, i find that if you go a little further you get better responces (top, ward bush at 130 vs, top, could you please ward bush at 130). If you show basic respect you will more often get it back. Yes there will be toxic asshats who will be cruel regardless, but they get a quick mute/report. I also find that with pings, if you spam them people will generally respond as long as you dont have someone whos being an ass about it in game- pinging ? for bad plays ect. I also post summ timers in chat, and have noticed in my elo that in games where I am posting all lanes summs the innane babble and cruelty is lesser, i assume because the info is relevant.

Good luck!

Some people have tunnelvision. They are too focused on what they are doing to notice anything else going on. Which usually leads to them feeding needlessly and flaming their team for lack of communication (lol)
