Can you get punished for ping spamming?
They can report you ofc, but do riot punish you on that?

of course you can be PUNISHED for any report... and those who spam ping to be toxic assclown should be punished
It's wise to avoid any actions taken solely to annoy others.
To answer your question more directly, the IFS doesn't seem to consider ping spam toxic behavior and it won't issue penalties currently. But, if you get reported too often, it will trigger a manual review. Then, you may be punished for the ping-spam. There is also the possibility of updates to the IFS.
I suggest not ping-spamming.
/Edit: Also, if there's anything else toxic in the chat or you were inting or something, then the review triggered by the report may punish you for those other behaviors even if the pinging is not specifically part of the decision. So, if you're going to ping spam, then be careful to avoid all other forms of toxicity for that match.
Sorry but which box do you tick when you submit the said report of spam pings (annoying and toxic)? Griefing?
