Thing is...I do use the in-game report system. Thing is...it doesnt work. EVER for verbal abuse or the like. (as i said in post you removed I have been told death threats and nothing happened to the guy..i should know as I made an account to add him to friend to track his games :|!)

You know if it did work....I wouldn't come to boards in the 1st place.

League is a fun game, but when you encounter the toxic community as often as I do you realize how bad RIOT is at managing its community.

(will this get removed and a forum ban? possibly. wouldnt put it past mods with my history)

click on the first 20 post in the sub-boards. see how many are chat related and you know that the system is working.

it just doesn't do a good job in showing you that it is working, as you'll only get a punishment notification if the game you reported them in is the one that got them punished, and not while it is building towards their case.

I had a guy tell me to shoot up my school and kill everyone in it and then kill myself. I've had someone tell me he hopes my family dies in a housefire and my kids are born with autism and my wife gets "attacked". I don't have a wife or kids, and with my looks I never will, so the joke's on him. Anyway, the point of reporting behavior isn't to ban people, it's to try and keep the playerbase up. It's a business, they're going to try and stop the behavior first. They need the money, and they want to make sure that the guy is actually a bad person rather than having a really off day. 3/10 people that tell me to kill myself are punished. That's honestly fine by me. Riot knows what kind of community it wants. I'll just report and move on. Besides, they don't judge the cases first, they let the community judge them. I can't IMAGINE the amount of reports they cycle through daily. "Reported for playing teemo" usually gets cluttered in there. By me. Die teemo.

It does work when you report people - they have to gather enough reports though, which means they have to ruin a quota of games first.
