Starting from my first draven game a couple matches ago i got a yasuo (asap) and an enemy cassio (sarby) the first death yas had led him to want ff. Im fine with that, my thresh wasn't warding, taking cs, and roaming while simultaneously feeding. That was gg, no prob there, but the next game was interesting. For some reason i got the SAME people from mid which i can only assume is because we were either falsely reported or legitimately so. asap was now top xin and cass was now xerath, the second game was better since i was able to melt the enemy team as draven, but i couldn't help feel like id be forever matched with negative players since the yas decided to blame me first game and say that i was "garb". Im fine with a little trash talk like that and "scrub" because he was obviously already tilted, but i thought prisoner island didn't exist?

Then continue to the third game where i decided to play ranked. Besides arguing over whether or not to ban morde (which i defended against leo) the problems began when our second picks were messed up by a second adc... knowing our comp was already screwed to put it bluntly, i knew i had to adjust my play to fit our inadequacies. so it was ashe, cait... , and then teemo(instead of a baited nasus [because he did well as teemo in another game....]) So now we're a team of squishes against a mal, cho, and fidd. Knowing we needed tank, sustain i chose olaf, and the last pick was leo for some tank. Knowing we already lost picks and bans, i say so to the disgust of leo and the others saying that you can't lose just from bans or picks. needless to say kindred started with the weak mid lane cait, and then began to farm off kills. All while my team is asking for help, blaming me for not, and threatening to report for calling them "bad". Which i stand by, if you defend a cait mid then id assume that'd make you bad too. So we lost, no surprise, but aside from getting honored i also get reported for my opinion about not only the teemo top (which our comp didn't need) but for the second adc that almost seemed to auto lock in.

How can you fix games like this when you continue to match other amateurs (to use a politically correct term)with people that are falsely or legitimately reported. Granted, I'm always the first one to say whenever a player is playing a role or champ that isn't normal, and will say that it will be a bad game. I am also the first to say good job whenever they actually do get a kill against their lane like i did with cait. I will admit that i was at one time "negative" calling out mistakes like not prioritizing wards to a sup, or smiting wolves to a jg, or even not grouping mid to top when their opponent started to do so and already started taking more objectives and contributing more than our top who continued to farm (only to get raged at by them for not surviving long enough for them to become relevant.

You might see this as a rant, but the fact that i could be matched in normals with the same people two times in a row is evident of a terribly faulty matching/reporting system that riot has implemented. How can people profit off of becoming better, and more friendly when we are continuously matched with people that don't allow us to bring out the best in our abilities?

Behavior is not a factor in match making. Yes there are 100s of thousands of players, millions even. But they aren't all eligible to be matched with you. We think of ranks as broad groups because that is how they are displayed to us, but you have a very specific rank which is your MMR. It is actually pretty rare to be matched with the same players unless you have a very high or very low rank since there are less people to match you with.

So before you queued the first game, you had your MMR, lets say it was 1000(completely made up) so was that other player. You were both on the same team and you both lost that game. Maybe you don't go down the exact same amount but it will most likely be very similar. So when you reque your MMR is 990 and his is 989 and thus you still are closely ranked and matched again.

The test of skill is every single game. You win, your rank goes up which causes your team mates and opponents to get better. If you lose your rank goes down and your team and opponents get a little worse. Promos are completely superficial.

The only reason it is easier to fall than it is to climb is because its easier to under perform than it is to play above your skill level. People can have bad days and bad games. Even though people can have good days and good games they aren't going to wake up one morning and be challenger. But you can definitely be tilted enough to play at a bronze level.

can someone from riot answer if prisoner island will be fixed anytime soon? Id hate to have to keep making new accounts just to reset my matching system (however that works). This is my favorite game, but id rather get t-bagged for hours on end then deal with some of the players in this community. Everything from the technicalities to the mechanics is almost perfect in my opinion, but the players i get matched with don't seem to share my opinion

Prisoners island is not a thing in league. Riot has spoken out against this many times. It is a coincidence that you get matched in the same game with the same person twice. You get them the second time for the same reason you did the first time, you were had similar or identical MMRs. If you were a good match the first time it is only logical that that after each losing 1 game you were still a good match when you both requeued. Always wait a few minutes to requeue after you have a game with someone you don't want to play with again.
