Am I the only one who gets punished for saying this less severe than my teammates have?

I've gotten chat banned, even suspended like I have just now, for saying things that aren't even that bad. This suspension I just received is because of one game where I had 2 instalock junglers who fed and fought the entire game. I called them bad and said they were trolling and got suspended, while one of them was cussing and saying I was trolling and he received no penalties. Do Riot employees just hate me?

Is this a competition or something? Everyone is judged separately and it also doesn't matter who started it. We're not in pre-school anymore, "mom, but he did it first" doesn't apply.

I didn't say that it was a competition or anything. What I said was that the stuff I was saying wasn't as bad as what he was saying.

How is that relevant? :) As I said, everyone is judged separately. You constantly ask people to report someone, which is a punishable offense. If someone harasses you, simply mute them and report after the game. One vote is more than enough to trigger the automated system.

See, this isn't true. You only get feedback if it was your report which triggered the punishment (pretty low chance, as you usually don't get punished for a single game) AND the punishment has to be at least 2 weeks ban. If they got just a chat suspension, you will never know.

If someone is slandering you it's your responsibility to stand up for yourself, nobody else's. People are supposed to be able to stand up for themselves without going to the authorities every time someone says a mean word. That's why our generation is so dependent.

There's a difference between "standing up for yourself" and "retaliating". We're on the Internet, there's nothing like defending your honor or something. Any response to morons is a complete waste of time and just breeds more toxicity. The moment someone makes you retaliate he already won. They don't care about truth or anything, they just want to vent their frustration and/or make someone rage. Why do you feel the urge to "stand up for yourself" when you're dealing with some simpletons who find joy in ruining the experience for others?

i think that was enough to chat suspend you, but i would tread lightly from now one. the next punishment could be 14 day ban.

you would have to play like 50 games without report or issue to clear your name. my guess anyway, non official.

my guess also, is that you communicated with the opposing team and they reported you too. maybe.

Add that to your name, and you have a whole lot of issues there.

Nope, it really just comes down to how often you say something. I eventually got permabanned for calling teammates "bad". It might seem that way because you're the one being punished while your teammate who tells you to kill yourself isn't, but it all comes down to how consistently you say it. Generally speaking, people will not be punished the first time they are reported for saying something someone feels is toxic.

A while ago I got a 2 week chat ban after not playing for a couple days and flaming during one game. I just don't think the Riot employees like me because of my username and ingame name.

Seems like someone got picked on but why is the question. Is it sportsmanlike to say this right off the start? Just a question that should be thought about.
