@Riot: I want to personally thank you for the new honor system. I enjoy League again!

I have been playing League since 2010 (Irelia release). On the old boards, I was an active poster in the "Tribunal" section AND actively participated in the Tribunal as well. I honestly loved the Tribunal because it allowed me to know that toxic players were being punished for their wrongdoings. It provided clarity (which is HUGE to me) and helped me to NOT settle in to any in-game toxicity. Truth be told, It held me accountable because I had SEEN players being punished....and I NEVER wanted to be one.

When the Tribunal was ditched for the current "automated" system, I was bummed. When I heard it wasn't coming back.....I was really bummed. Part of my accountability was now gone. I know that sounds lame but it's so easy to be taken down to the toxic levels of players within a game. This was especially true when people would attack me. I've never been banned, suspended, or warned but I always felt like I still treated people poorly sometimes. It made me NOT enjoy playing League because I didn't like how I was internally (and occasionally externally) responding to.....a video game.

The honor system is something I have always felt was needed in League. I work as a mental health counseling and I KNOW the impact that positive reinforcement can have on people. Unfortunately, the previous honor system never worked (except at the start.....for about a month).....and that was a disappointment as well. There were no real rewards. Having the ribbons were very hard to get and near impossible to maintain (especially if you primarily play ranked such as myself).

With all of that said, the current honor system in place has brought back accountability again! I now feel that motivation and drive to WANT to be a positive person in League. When I get honored, it feels pretty good because I was specifically picked by someone! On the flip side, I always let my teammate know if I honored them (and why) because I want to encourage others the way I feel when I get honored.

Surprisingly, it has made me significantly more "tolerant" of losing a game. It's not that I like to lose, but I have been trying to make the best of a loss. For example, a couple games ago we had lost all of our base towers and the game was destined to be a loss..... but I made a great "flash wq" as Alistar and my Orianna combo'd up with me to get an awesome triple! I told Orianna, "that play made this whole game worth it" and she said, "Yup". We ended up losing the game but Ori and I both honored each other at the end! :)

I just want to thank you for putting this in to place. Also, thank you for the key fragments! I wasn't expecting to earn anything for being positive and this came as a huge surprise!
