Perma banning

Sooo I've heard it's possible to have a perma ban get undone, is that actually a thing or was I getting trolled? :/

If it was payment related yes, as soon as you figure it out with support. For toxicity only if it was issued by mistake. It's rare.

Yeahhh, that sounds about right. I've thought of things like being perma-muted in game or having typing abilities taken away in game but I don't think rito gives a hoot lol

They give a hoot, that kind of "punishment" just has been proven to not be effective in preventing further toxic behavior or reforming the player.

When we permanently ban players we want them to spend their time elsewhere. Permanent bans are reserved for players who were either extremely toxic (hate speech etc.) or refused to improve after numerous warnings.

Chat restrictions are our way of helping players realize their behavior is not acceptable, and shielding their behaviors from other players while allowing them a chance to improve.

This is why we provide chat logs and information about why we punished them. We aren't looking for ways to keep extremely toxic players in the community, which is why we do not issue permanent chat restrictions.

If a player wants to hide their chat on screen and communicate with pings, they are of course welcome to do it. That is them recognizing they have an issue and attempting to fix it.

If you want to discuss your punishment here I recommend posting your Reform Card (chat logs). If you want to contest your ban with Riot you must submit a Support Ticket, but as he said, unless it was an error there's little chance of it being reduced or removed.

If someone is perma-muted it's literally impossible to be toxic no matter what. The worst you could do is spam ping, I'm not talking about the simple chat bans here :D.

Perma mutes aren't good for anyone since it's too valuable of a tool for teamwork. They expect from you to use it for what it was intended. Even when chat restricted you can type now and then to give some info to your team. Having someone denied of chatting in the game is an instant blow to the team he is in.

Depends. If it was locked because of a payment irregularity, or because they suspect the account was hacked, you need to contact support, and once Riot is satisfied everything is above board, the account will be unlocked.

If it was banned due to toxicity/inting/general unsportsmanlike behaviour, you can appeal, but it will only be overturned if you can convince them (with really really good proof) that it was done in error. If it was a valid ban, you're out of luck, it will never be undone.

A 14 day ban for inting was recently overturned, on this very board, so it's possible, but the guy had a good argument plus evidence to back it up. You'd need the same...
