What's considered toxicity in league of legends

So I've noticed in this game (the only one out of hundreds of online competitive video games I've participated in) the community as a whole seems to get a lot more butthurt about trash talk and cursing. I have no clue why it's only this community, but can we please for god's sake change some of the terms for bannable offenses? There's been a few games where I've gotten reported just because the other team is salty at me because I did well and I still somehow end up getting a ban from saying something simple like "gg ez" or "LOL" (not joking). I doubt this will get any popularity but in the hopes of it doing so I hope there's some more lenient rule changes for trash talk in the summoner code :D. Singed

Pretty much anything that the theoretically most sensitive person in existence could be slightly bothered by.

Honestly, for the amount of bullshit that gets counted in a report, Riot just needs to do away with entered chat ENTIRELY. They count ANY thing other than blatant encouragement or praise as negative and count it against you. If you have a previous strike against your account before (no matter HOW UNFAIRLY it was handed down), you get triple the counts against you.

This is a very poorly (and probably difficult) community to police so they should just take that option away. I'm contesting a restriction now that was handed unfairly against me, but I have no hope it will be resolved.

May we see this ban for, "saying something simple like "gg ez" or "LOL"?

What is considered toxic? in general these:

Verbal abuse and harassment (i.e. calling teammates garbage, trash and other insults, cursing at others). Calling for reports (only one report is needed to flag a game for review, which is then thrown out if nothing of fault is found). Threats to troll or feed or report (self-explanatory). Death threats and racist comments. Retaliation (raging at a rager solves nothing and only brings the team down even more). Constant/non-stop trash talking (even that has its limits, and knowing when and where to stop is important). Intentionally feeding/afking. Gameplay trolling.

In short, basically anything that you know will just serve to tick people off. You can try to calm someone down in a mature and respectful manner, but if you see that they're not gonna do that then just mute, report and move on. It's better to focus on the game than to waste time typing in those situations. Try to keep the chat related to the game that you're in, but feel free to chat it up with your teammates and/or enemies if the situation/atmosphere allows for it.

P.S. Only saying ggez or lol in a game will never get you punished. Many people over the years have tried to claim that they were punished for that when in actuality they were punished for consistent negative behavior throughout their games and not just for saying ggez or lol.

To be honest you do know that saying "gg ez" or a straight up "LOL" after someone has made a mistake is a trigger. Like, I know a few hilarious things can happen, but using that to trigger people is just plain wrong, even if it's not your intention. Keep those remarks to you and your friends, and you will not run into any trouble AT ALL. You are smart enough to understand that it's frustrating to be in the receiving end of a "LOL" or "gg ez" after a few mistakes that you already feel bad for AND/OR payed the price for (getting killed). As you said, it's a competitive game, and people get REALLY competitive, so their reaction is only natural. As I said, even if you do not want to be a dickwad, those types of remarks can (and will) trigger people. Don't worry, you can't be banned for it, but be ready to get reported. A lot.

Toxic behaviour doesn't get punished. Telling people off who are acting toxic or losing your patience with them after feed like they work in a restaurant then flame you for it is punished.

Short. Toxicity is any behaviour that brings the overal game health down.

You're going to get a rude awakening then of you decide to play Blizzard's games.
