I know its brought up a lot but I still get afks 1/4 games im in... why cant Riot IP ban these people.
Idc if its bad internet or what you shouldnt afk in any competitive game ever. Why cant we severely punish people who do? My track record for afk is near flawless yet I have to deal with afkers all the time... PLEASE god give incentive to not afk... please god IP ban people... Im so fucking tired of it... hence the rant.
In this thread: someone who doesn’t know how easy it is to circumvent IP bans.
I'll admit that even though it is annoying, at the end of the day this is a game and people do have things going on in their life, I understand that it is a ranked game but if you were to make the punishment more severe it wouldn't always be fair to everyone. One time I had to go AFK because my little brother had decided he wanted to try to cook a Pizza and forgot about it, it can't be helped. I do agree that maybe the punishment should be a little more severe in something like ranked, but once again things do happen. If you do have an AFK early on just remake the game, it's not counted as a loss. If the game carries out till later on and they afk then tell the enemy team, the community is pretty nice and I've even had other people AFK just to make it even. You may not find these kind of people but they are out there. I understand you're aggravation at consistency of which these things happen and there may be a solution. Perhaps a good alternative would be if Riot monitored the rate at which people that go AFK and Pair with people that have about the same rate as them. At the end of the day it is a thing that happens and all you can do is make the best of the situation and try to move forward. Your luck is sure enough to change! The good always comes after the bad!
Im not saying ban the person on the first strike but in my 6-7 year time of playing this game ive afk'd (out of circumstance) 2-3 times... if im getting placed in a match with an afker every 1/4 then i guarantee more than half of those people are on accounts they dont care about or have a history of afking... i get that perma banning is a potential loss of money but id literally pay a monthly fee to not have any afks in my games... just gets frustrating after awhile.
