So twice in over half a year and another half a year later after going through much stress and then relief in being a better person to people over the internet (Its decently a huge change) I've asked Riot if I could play again.

They said due to their strict rules nobody gets to play again after a certain point. EVER.

Meh. I can still log in and stare at my builds, skins, item, champs, store content. I can even log into the webpage and do this stuff. They say my account is permanently on lockdown because my very name is what ruined the experience for other players.

I don't even remember the last reason for this but I'm kind of confused... In response to the support person I said, "Right, understood. I can still log into the game and stare at my stats, the shop, my builds and log into the webpage and do things there but the important stuff? LOCKED. Got it."

Sarcasm aside, I don't see the point of this. They should just destroy the account if they hate it that much. I mean, what else are they going to do with it? You have a 5 - 6 year old account that no one can play on ever again, and they're just hanging onto it. (What? Why? I can't compute..).

Riot pls stop being jerks and just throw me in the dumpster, already.

I think RIOT in most of these permanent bans lacks a certain compassion and understanding that prevents them from being a company we all love and instead being a company we revile.

Strict is one thing. Eternal punishments need to be reserved for murder, treason and other things that simply can't be grown past with maturity or overcome as a society. Not that I'm saying people should get a pass. But 1 year... 5 years. Is plenty time for a one time ban. And repeat offenders after that can be dealt with...

I don't think they delete accounts ever, I've been perma'd on a few and can still see all the stuff like mastery, rune pages, match history etc,.

wouldn't it be a relief for those "punishment stalkers" to know that an account they are stalker is actually permabanned?

They keep the account info likely because they don't want to mess up the match data.

Even though your account is on lockdown, you've played matches before on that account and those match records are stored. Deleting your account would mean they would likely need to delete the record of every match your account was in from the moment of its creation, because every match must have X accounts linked to it to keep the referential integrity of the database.

Storage, when you're not storing media like video or audio, is laughably cheap. There is no reason to cause all sorts of issues by freeing up a dead account.
