Pings
What are your thoughts on if someone, during player select, tells you who to play, and then pings insensitively during laning phase? When told to stop the pings they keep on going with them.

just report them for negativity
This happens to my friend and I quite a bit because we like to do silly things and try to make them work.
You can certainly report them for griefing if they're spamming pings (it's under Unsportsmanlike Conduct). You can also adjust the sound for pings specifically in the in-game settings. If you like hearing pings the way you do now, just not for games with those types of people, you can lower it temporarily and raise it back at the end (or beginning of next game).
Not a super solution, but it definitely helps.
