It's been 2 months and I'm still Dishonorable?

Before I say my problem, allow me to give a little bit of context

Last year, when the system came out, i quickly rose to honor level 5 and got the end of season reward. One game I played an annoying prick and got chat restricted, but rightfully so since I was definitely toxic that game. And one more time when I got chat restricted for defending myself against another toxic player (no I did not flame him, I just argued about my own plays for two minutes) and I filed a ticket to a rioter, who didn't pardon the restriction entirely but was understanding and reduced it from 25 games to 10.

After getting chat restricted twice in such quick succession, i dropped all the way to dishonorable, from what was either Honor level 3 or Honor level 2 - checkpoint 3. Although I'm quite sure it was honor level 3. That last chat restriction was in May 7th, two months ago, and I've only gotten to checkpoint 3 in dishonorable. It never took this long to go up in honor levels and at this rate, I don't even think it'll be possible for me to get back to where I was originally. I've played games almost every day, gotten honors from my teammates almost every day (sometimes even from the whole team, those felt good), but I've received what feels like no reward for better behavior, and was punished from a very good spot in honor to the lowest level. Not only that, but not only do i have to leave Dishonorable, I have to leave level 1 too to get anything good out of it!? It's just impossible for me to reach my goal of honor 5 this year.

###Tl;dr Make it at least possible to get up to honor 5 from Dishonorable.

UPDATE: Just saw the front page post on what this board can or can't do, don't really know what to do with this post but it helped to rant a little. I hope Riot can make the reward system for those who've already been punished to be more fair, and I already noticed that they've made attempts in doing so in one of the earlier patches. But their attempts at fixing it implies that it is hard for everyone, not just me, to leave this hole. So I wish they would continue fixing this issue.

If you'd like, please share your experiences with leaving honor level 0 or honor level 1, tell me how hard, or easy, it was for you to leave it and get to the level you're at right now. You can rant if you want, I don't think anyone would mind.

UPDATE 2: I'm back at honor 1 boys, took 77 days but it finally happened. I hope getting back up will be easier from now on

What we can do is to teach how to be not negative and therefore, progress in honors.

Firstly understand how the honors system works and how you progress:

  1. Play lots of games
  2. Don't get validly reported
  3. Recieve honors
  4. Get team honors bonus

Playing lots of games is given. Any type of climb requires "time", and in this case, game time. Play alot of games and you'll progress faster. ImaQTPie got chat restricted and got out back to h2 (from h1) in 25 days or so.

Avoid getting validly reported. This includes the stuff for minor toxicity such as the following:

  • calling / threatening for reports
  • shaming others in any form, such as:
  • KDA (saying they are 1/12, so stfu)
  • age (calling people kid)
  • rank / skill (calling someone noob or bronze)
  • defeatist attitude (like saying "gg, I'm done, AFk")

It does without saying that you need to recieve honors to progress faster, but playing neutral games without getting honors progresses honors, so you dont always have to fish for those honors.

Just like winning a league game is a team game, progressing in honors is a team game as well. Make sure you really your team mates and get them to honor someone. Especially that guy whom the enemy tried to tilt and failed, or that guy that made a bunch of sick calls regardless if the team won or not, or maybe that guy that made the game enjoyable for everyone.

If you have the right attitude, it's not too late to climb back up to h1 right now.

when you get a valid report, you stop making honor progress.

1 bad game could set you back a week. or maybe only a couple days, hard to say.
