Why I was chat restricted.

Recently played a ranked game where my midlaner chose to ban my toplaner's champion. In response my top laner opted to flame us, int the enemy Fiora, then refused surrender before 20min. Needless to say we were destroyed this game and I said some very rude things to our top laner before reporting her. Apparently however, Riot's priorities are:

  1. hurt feelings

  2. literally throwing games with proof in chat

I get why I was punished, however myself and 3 other people don't deserve to lose LP, and odds are this guy won't get in any trouble. There has to be a better way to deal with trolling than a system of reports that rarely leads to deserved bans/suspensions.

He may get in trouble and he may not. Point is you said according to yourself, some toxic things resulting in the chat restriction. What's not to get?

The system deals with each player on an individual basis. You're punished based off of severity and frequency. This could have been the Top laner's first toxic game ever, or his last. If you're actively worsening other players' experience, you will get get punished.

Hey, the system is broken. Lets say there is a premade 3 man, and you are solo. They could be toxic and int and grief and do whatever they want. As soon as you say something about it, you're done. If they all report you, that's three to the one you give them, so now you look like the toxic player, and Riot will look at you first, and you will be punished more severely. It's not fair, the system is just broken. Sorry about the chat ban bud.
