- Does being reported detract from your honor? (AKA Crest progression)
False reports, no. Reports are verified by the system before any action is taken based on the reports, and false reports are thrown out.
- What is the minimum number of reports to be punished; do reports disappear over time?
The system looks more at frequency of reports than a specific number. So if you suddenly get reported in a large percentage of the games you're playing, you may find yourself under review by the system, and if appropriate, punished. Punishments will strip all honor you have on your account. Since it looks at frequency of reports, that means playing for a while without receiving valid reports will raise the standing of your account. Per the punishment system, after receiving a punishment, it takes 3 months without another punishment to drop down one punishment tier.
- Someone told me you had to be honored a certain % of your games in order to receive a crest. Does this mean if I've played 6,000 games it will be very difficult for me to get a crest compared to someone on a fresh account?
Similar to reports, this is based more on a percentage over a specific time period, not so much over the account's lifetime. So ribbons come from getting honor frequently, not just a raw large count of honor points.
- Non-bronze ranked players generally know their stuff, thus the chances for being honored for helpful are super low! Does this mean it's much harder for me to get a crest just because I'm a gold-level player; or do I need to play bots until I've gotten honored for helpful enough?
Helpful is the most difficult to get, because people generally don't like to be helped. But if somebody is receptive, there's always valid information that you could pass to equal-skilled players (and probably even some insight a lower skilled player can give to higher skilled players).
