The I Quit Thread to End All I Quit Threads

Hello!

-Posting on an alt, no I won't post on main -No I will not be back next week, or ever -Yes I'm not good, no I'm physically incapable of "gitting gud" -Yes everything I'm about to say is 100% applicable to myself, I'm better for admitting it and changing, starting today.

The valid reasons:

-This game brings out the worst in people. You will become a worse person playing this game, and your life will suffer in small but multiplicative ways.

-This game is addicting akin to gambling or alcohol, this makes it abhorrent on the level of those substances.

-The match making system across the board is lopsided and will never be addressed. One team will always feed, and the other will be way ahead.

-The champion pool is lopsided with certain champions being stronger in every situation. Riot will never balance the game despite a decade of data and feedback to do so.

-I personally will never see Gold league, just like 80% of the player base. That's ok. If there's one thing I want to accomplish, it's to wake up just one other person to this reality. Leading us to...

-It's a money sink. The game lives from micro transactions that while not required, tickle that addictive spot of the brain. This coincides with that multiplicative effect of the entire time sink of the game. It's part of the perfect cyclical trap.

In closing. I urge anyone and everyone to stop playing. You will never see the rank you desire outside of blatant boosting (cheating) and that victory will leave you hollow because you didn't earn it, nay, you can't earn it outside of being that 20-1% of all players. Just stop. Delete the game, and come outside. This game will not affect me anymore, and neither will you community of toxicity and exploitation. This has been a message to all those who are also trapped. You can beat the addiction, you can break the cycle. Please, I urge you.

You're not a loser or less than worthy for not being good at a video game. Let these people have each other in their Gold tier+. It's all a cesspit, it's all data that can be deleted tomorrow. You have nothing tangible of value, and hardly anything of mental or spiritual substance to gain from continuing the play of this game.

_**Thank you for your time. I will not be checking back because the entire thread will just be down votes and sarcasm and the above opening list. ** _

Wow, there's a lot to unpack there.

Checking leagueofgraphs.com says otherwise. Out of all the players ranked on the ladder as of this moment in time, 40% are gold or higher. This does not take into account either a) the rank reset temporarily lowering ranks across the board or b) the fact that grandmaster and challenger still aren't open. Last season, approximately 50% of the playerbase was gold+.
