Toxic Players / Behavior

So recently I was in a game that did not go well. I played Pyke as support and my lane mate played Jhin, I'm pretty new to LoL and have an understanding of how to play a specific lane.

Now, as Pyke/support, generally my role is to aid the ADC and make plays. I mean this is what I assume from all of the YT videos I've watched about Pyke. I helped this player damage minions without last hitting allowing him to make gold and the only time I took a cs was when I noticed he was letting minions die. This guys abuse start by texting in chat 'You're not supposed to hit minions' even when it was apparent that I was helping him farm. Next, I snag an enemy champ so that we can apply damage and or kill him. This player decides to chase the enemy champs lane mate, gets tagged team, and now all of a sudden I'm being called a troll.

Our lane was not a losing lane, we were pushing just fine, to my memory we were able to allow the minions to crash into the enemy turrets a couple of time before he abandoned bot lane. Mid lane was the first to go, and JG was more concentrated on mid/top so I fell victim to at least two ganks.

I have two victories in blind pick and one in solo/duo. I know these W's are far from being good but it backs up my claim that I am no Troll. I try to provide the opportunity to kill or apply pressure so that my lane mate can farm if I'm able to lock in the kill, I will.

Lastly, I guess what I'm really trying to get to, ask, say, is why is it okay for players to bitch and moan and blame other players then threaten to report. This reporting system has both pros and cons it allows cry baby players to not take responsibility for their own action.

Also, I have screenshots of this guy manipulative rant that he texted in the after, game chat. He accused me of being bullied, said I have some type of mental issue and that I should receive help before I harm someone. Obviously, he was talking about himself in third person.

I need logical feedback and not some bias rebuttals from an LoL brat who's plated and mastered this since S1. I mean no offense to any sane individual who don't think LoL is life.

It's hypocritical for them to do that, but the report system is fully automated so getting reported by these players won't effect you in any way so long as you haven't broken the rules yourself.

Reporting someone with the in-client option records pre-game chat to post-game chat, meaning those chat logs will be flagged if they were found to be negative or made with the intent to harass.

If you didn't report them with the in-client function, you can file a support ticket (found right here) and provide those screenshots for the support team to investigate.

Logical feedback can come from anyone, pay attention to the advice, not the person who is giving it.

For starters, I think he was right about you not hitting minions. (Let me explain.)

I helped this player damage minions without last hitting allowing him to make gold and the only time I took a cs was when I noticed he was letting minions die.

For an ADC like Jhin, his fixed attack speed means it can be hard for him to consistently CS large waves. He may also need to save his last shot to secure a cannon minion or leave minions alive (at low health) for him to land his Dancing Grenade chains.

When I play Jhin, I prefer my supports to not AA every minion and indirectly mess up my farm while also shoving the wave. If an ADC asks you to not AA minions, please don't do it. There's a time and a place to shove and doing it consistently can really mess someone up.

It's generally a matter of preference, some ADCs will ask you to do it and some will ask you to refrain from doing it. Obviously I'm not trying to justify Jhin's attitude, but yeah.

So, if you ask me, both of you are at fault. This is a team game and there is no prescribed duties/rules aside from vague role names.

As such, you were trying to do what you thought would help the team. But your teammate informed you, in an albeit aggressive way, that he/she would get more help if you didn't do what you were doing.

Your immediate response should've been "sorry, I'll stop".

Likewise, you need to communicate with your teammates. If they're planning something, and you randomly go hook someone, that throws their plans all in a loop and fucks up their mojo.

It seems to me that you guys both got angry at each other and both fed each other's anger. This is why communication is important. Period.

The system should review all players after a game, so no one will bother asking for reports, problem solved

Hitting minions to assist in CSing is player-dependent. At low ELO, a lot of players are not comfortable with a support doing this because they do not have the skillset to CS properly yet. On the other hand, it was mentioned above about Jhin specifically, which can be true as well. Unless you understand how the champion works, it does make it harder for some champions to CS properly.

Other cases of this can be if the ADC knows they cannon win a lane if they push so they are setting up a freeze or controlling the wave in a way that would stop the minions from being under turret.

Assisting in CS is actually very beneficial for a support to do, even with champions like Jhin if you know the matchups well enough and know where the minions should be on the map. Getting the level 2 and level 3 power spike early allows you to punish or even kill the enemy laners and Pyke/Jhin can do this relatively easy in most cases.

But, again, best to stop if the ADC is uncomfortable with it or you will make matters worse. That player should have just asked you to stop rather than freak out.

The 2v2 fights you were talking about, I would have to see to be certain what happened but if he was deliberately not taking advantage of a CC'd champion, he was probably at fault. Especially if he went in far enough to die.
