I try to use pings instead of chat, and sometimes I get excited and use a bunch (like if someone is missing and on their way to kill my ally I'll use a bunch of "?" and "!" pings). Is that bannable? Will that affect my honor progress? I don't mean to spam.
You can be reported for anything.
Punished? Depends. If you're spamming them with clear intent to flame/aggravate someone, yes. Otherwise, no.
it probably is cause no one likes spamming. me personally. i usually don't listen to pings directed at me but if i am feeling really dickish i'll throw the ping back. like if i am in someone's lane and they ping ? at me i'll ping ? back at them. they ping ? several times and i'll repeat it. i call it ping pong.
I turn off all pings and chat. I main jungle and I found that most laners are annoying and only spam you. for some reason being in the middle of a counter gank bot means I should be able to TP top and save you when you die under their turret.
I actually learned that ignoring what my team wants me to do as jungle in the low elos is helping me climb and win more......
If it is something like enemy coming to gank one of your ally laners then I will use the fall back ping, v key, if you don’t click on a certain champ chat will say something like “Doge2020 warn to be careful” if you click on a champ tho (either at the champ’s location or on their border) it will say in chat something like “Doge2020 warns ____ to fall back”. I use that to warn somebody to move if I see something like the enemy jungler going to gank mid or telling my adc who has low health to play safe or back.
As long as you don’t spam on one person a lot then it won’t count as spamming. Unless there is a lvl 6 Pantheon missing from top, then you spam the hell out of the MIA ping in the middle of top lane and also type “PANTHEON MIA TOP PLAY SAFE” in chat a few times.
if pingspamming would get ppl banned, the entire bronze elo would be empty. cant play a single game without having to mute 2-4 ppl on my team for CONSTANT pingspam.
I hate it when they spam that ping on me tho
Like DuskDaUmreon said, you can be reported for anything. However, it is quite unlikely (more like impossible) to be punished by IFS for Pingspamming. However, ping spammer might still be punished through manual review, but the chance of manual interview happening are very slim, practically non-existent.
Just ping twice then no one will report you
