Is Riot gonna ever fix their toxicity issue?

Ever since making the report system automated, so many people have quit being toxic in game, but instead, champ select and post-game lobby is where they go alll out and Riot don't give a shit about that, no no, as long as they aren't toxic ingame they're good, but people are also toxic in game, some say some small things and then go all out post lobby, some just be toxic overall, but either way, those people still get away!! Also, if the system's automated, why the fuck does it take 3 weeks to finally ban someone who needs it! <removed by moderation>, a NA player was one of the most recent toxic players, but in game he didn't say anything too bad, just a couple of things that showed he was frustrated, but post-lobby he said so many toxic things to our entire team and mostly to me and my duo. He kept blaming us when he got caught out because we didn't "push mid" while he got killed at baron, but we didn't have minion waves so what're we supposed to do? Then I said report Kayn for toxicity, and he said I constantly flamed him for telling him to split then getting 1v4d. Then he called our entire team bad (mostly twitch because he was trying to stay alive instead of autoing the enemy) and called him a retarded shit. I swear I hope this man gets banned because he deserves it, not to mention he hasnt played ranked in at least 20 games. Why does it have to be so hard to report someone, and why do people only get banned when getting reported from the enemy team. The enemy team can't see the other team's chat, and they don't give a shit if the enemy is trolling or flaming, as long as they win they don't care, so they're obviously not gonna report him and waste their 3 precious seconds. I miss real human report checking, idc if it takes 2 weeks to check, as long as they're checked and get the person banned correctly. Riot's a multi-millionaire company, they can hire people

All you have to do is say that the flaming happened in post or pre game in your chat report.

The Instant Feedback System, as well as manual review system, both have access to pre/post game lobby chat.

It may take 3 weeks because the system does not ban on first offense - it follows an escalating system that leads to a ban after two "warning" chat restrictions.

Naming and shaming is against the universal rules.

It doesn't matter who reports, in theory 1 report will log the game for review.

If the events happen in post game lobby, include that in the report. That way should a manual review prompt they know where to look.

Bans take time depending on what is said to build up a case (exceptions exist.) They typically try to avoid banning for only 1 game (once again, exceptions exist.)

Toxicity penalties typically follow; 10 game chat restriction, 25 game chat restriction, 14 day ban, perm ban.

No, they're not, because it's not something that can actually be fixed.

It's an ONLINE [COMPETITIVE] GAMING COMMUNITY.

There will ALWAYS be trolls.

Trying to pretend otherwise only creates MORE, arguably WORSE trolls.

Trying to play "E-God" only creates MORE trolls.

Banning people for reacting to trolls only creates MORE trolls.

Why do you think this community has gotten progressively worse, as the years have gone by, despite Riot trying to wave all sorts of carebear statistics in your face to the contrary?

People dont get banned for one game of being rude in chat. If he only flamed you because he didn't like your (or your duo's) play specifically, then he isn't going to get punished if he doesn't exhibit a pattern of toxicity.

I swear I hope this man gets banned because he deserves it, not to mention he hasnt played ranked in at least 20 games.

I don't know how this is relevant at all. But he's played more ranked recently than you. He just plays alot of normals on top of his ranked games.

Hoping a guy gets banned because he was mean to you is petty. It isn't like he inted or afk'd. He still played to win, he just wrote things in chat.

This isn't the place to report these players, and we don't allow name & shaming on the Boards so I've removed the name from your post per the Universal Rules. It's alright to discuss this topic, as long as we are leaving names out so we're focusing on discussing the issue and not harassing players.
