Permanently Suspended

Hi I was hacked over a month ago, and recovered my account last week. Then I received a message saying my account was permanently suspended because my hacker used "exploits" on my account. I'm overwhelmed with grief to understand why I am being punished for something a hacker did. I understand that I am ultimately responsible for my account, but an outright ban and no warning is uncalled for. i worked hard to get where I was on my account and to see it end this way is disappointing.

You have to send them a support ticket telling them when you were "hacked" and tell them your IP so that they can verify it was someone else and not just you cheating

"hacked" is another word for "i thought free rp is real" or "my friend/bro/whoever played on my account and 'stole' it"

I'm going to use quotation marks as we establish things, so please don't take it as an accusation, this way maybe we can point you in the right direction.

  1. When your account was "hacked" did you lose control of it? Like, did the person change your password?

  2. Did you report that your account was "hacked" to RIOT prior to you getting control of it back, before you were suspended or after you received your suspension?

  3. So you know who "hacked" your account? Could you have used your account on someone else's computer and they had a good idea what your password was?

  4. Did you lend your account to anyone else to use? For any reason? Super trustworthy cousin that you know would never cheat? Old friend from back in 'Nam? Account leveling service?

  5. What tier and division were you when you were banned?

Now, me talking to you about this is in good faith, please know that lying on these answers will actually waste more of your time than mine, because how you answer these questions can determine the response I advise you to send in, and RIOT has ways to independently verify your claims.

Eek, unfortunately it seems like your only avenue is to ask them to review your account history, to include IP logon information in relation to your claim.

This is no guarantee but, if you truly didn't do anything wrong (I'm assuming you never cheated with this recommendation) and you were proactive with your efforts to recover your account, and you ever spent money you can make the argument that you:

  1. Spent the money in good faith that you would be able to to use the content and...
  2. Part of that for faith includes that you never violated the EULA/tos (this part is the big difference that helps you stand out from all the other scumbags who think spending money gives them license to act like a jerk)

Even then, it's no guarantee because it will still fall to their discretion under "for any reason" but truthfully no company uses "just because" as a reason, it's just a typical catchall.

They still don't want to address this.
